Jan 2, 2006 22 oz bomber. Pours a black color with a medium sized beige creamy head. Piney aroma as bottle is opened with hints of malts and rich chocolate. Taste is very hoppy for a porter with hints of pine,malts,rich chocolate and coffee. Pleasantly sweet with a nice coffee aftertaste. one of the best porters out there.

Dec 30, 2005 Pours with a small brown head on a deep black body. Strong hoppy aroma with lots of chocolate and licorice. Chocolate taste with lots of hops, aftertaste of peppermint or licorice on a nice thick body.

Nothing is suttle about the flavor, rich in choclate and coffee with hoppy bite. thick on the palate but smooth with a long after taste... My friends did not like it, not used to the power of porters but i loved it.

Dec 27, 2005 Hard to believe that I have not rated this yet,drank a few of them for sure.This is a deep mohagany brew with a good amount of carbonation. Nose is sweet port like with some dark chocolatte’ undertones. taste is huge on the coffee and dark cocoa.This was different tasting then last years.
