Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s cousin. A big American X-mas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt and Mexican sugar and of course tons of strange American hops! Cheers.

22 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly, shared with friends. Yes we are drinking a X-mas porter in June! Nose is a really great cinnamon, chocolate and earthy pine. The base of the beer is burnt grain, with nice notes of chocolate, earthy dead leaves and a bit of char. The texture is real dry. The body is a perfect medium with some dead pine notes in the finish. The more I sip it the more I enjoy this. Real nice brew.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Aroma is piney and citrusy hops backed up by roasty chocolate malt. Taste is very much the same, perhaps with a touch of menthol and coffee. Palate is full with a sharp carb. Very unique and very awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Nice dark heavy pour with off white head and a bit of retention. Nose is all kinds of chocolate, coco, roast and vanilla. Taste follows the nose with some residual hop bitterness and sugar. Well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another really nice beer from Three Floyd’s. Very aggressive. I expected a bit more on the spice side, but what this really was was a very well-hopped porter.

Bottle. Pours very dark. Tons of spice on the nose, still not a fan of the Christmas beers but this is better than most.

Bottle at the in-laws. Pour is pitch black with a frothy brown head and goo lacing. Big roast, dark chocolate, light nutmeg, vanilla, toasted bread, dark fruit, and oaky aroma. Taste is big dark chocolate, coffee, light vanilla, woody, lightly spicy, sweet vanilla, and grassy with a lightly bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with medium-to-soft carbonation. Nice porter, but I would have really loved a thicker mouthfeel

Bomber, pours a solid black with tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt and hops. Taste is roasted chocolate and coffee balanced out nicely with some bitter hops. Solid porter.

Pours an opaque black color with a caramelized creme brûlée colored foamy head. The head forms quickly and largely. Some semblance of head lingers throughout the beer. Lacing and spider webbing coat the glass from top to bottom. Late summer mown grass, coffee, and roastiness on the nose. Moutfheel is thick and slick, but dries out a little at the finish. Perfectly balanced roasted malt and resinous hops. It fills the mouth with flavor. Grassy hop flavor blending well with large roasted malt. This is a magnificent beer with a lot of balance. I’ve missed it so much.
