mdm46410 (514), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jul 11, 2008 On tap at Three Floyds and served in a half-pint glass. This beer poured a dark amber with a lasting, one-finger thick head of beige foam. Heavy lacing coated the inside of the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of huge citrus and grapefruit notes followed by some very floral pine. The flavor consisted of highly bitter grapefruit rind, pine, and a solid dose of caramel. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. A powerful hop bomb with some heavy handed bitterness. Nice! railcat1 (478), Hammond, Indiana, USA May 16, 2006 this was one strong beer caramal taste lots of hops and thick otherwise very good wish they would bring it back dm9831 (530), Monee, Illinois, USA Jul 4, 2005 festival of barrel aged beers 2004. hoppy, dry and bitter. sounds great. tastes great. aroma is hoppy, the color is cloudy amber. the barrel seems to have added a mellow smokeyness. RAYBOY01 (1552), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 1, 2005 Barrel Aged Festival 04 at Goose Island: Dreadnaught aged in oak barrels. The wood cask mellowed out the ol’ bitter ’Naught, but did not tame it. I loved this stuff and hope to run into it at this years fest. Humulone_Red (743), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 14, 2004 FOBAB 2004. Very hoppy spicy nose.
