Jul 4, 2005 festival of barrel aged beers 2004. hoppy, dry and bitter. sounds great. tastes great. aroma is hoppy, the color is cloudy amber. the barrel seems to have added a mellow smokeyness.

May 1, 2005 Barrel Aged Festival 04 at Goose Island: Dreadnaught aged in oak barrels. The wood cask mellowed out the ol’ bitter ’Naught, but did not tame it. I loved this stuff and hope to run into it at this years fest.

Nov 14, 2004 FOBAB 2004. Very hoppy spicy nose. Pours murky orange with a great head and some lacng. Great hop character with caramel and some vanilla notes. Very nice beer.

Nov 11, 2004 Perfect addition of woody character to just slightly tame the amazing hoppy character. Added a new dimension of caramel, vanilla and a touch of smoke. Soft nose for such a high amount of IBUs.
