COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer for the end of ages brewed with our friends in the band Amon Amarth. This Aesir Porter is a robust and hearty beer brewed with local honey and a small portion of smoked malt. When Heimdall sounds the Giallar-horn this is the beer to be hoisted by the gods in anticipation of the coming battle.

Biggish dark brown head. Opaque black body goes deep dark red at edges. Roasty raisiny chocolate aroma with spicy lacquer notes. Dry-sweet roasty raisiny lacquer taste with herbal spicy notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy lacquer chocolate aftertaste with dusty caramel and raisins notes. Nice, highly drinkable, balanced and harmonic. (0.65l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Backlogged rate: Black pour with beige head...some ruby tints apparent. Baker’s chocolate, some citrus, smoke and a bit of ash are on the nose...medium-full bodied, slick palate. Carbonation is perfect for this brew...flavors consist of dark chocolate, pine, grapefruit and some smoke. Lovely brew

Bottled. Pours deep brown nearly black with a medium sized tan head that leaves a nice lacing. Nose of slightly toasted malt, honey, lactose, grass, citrus and notes of smoke. Sweet flavor with chocolate, dark fruit and coffee notes that ends up more dry and pleasant bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft to average CO2. Delicious. ★★★★

22 fl oz bottle, purchaced @Kihoskh, København. Pours the darkest brown with a medium-sized light brown top. Big aroma of licorice and well roasted and light ashy dark malts. Quite hoppy, hints of coffe ground. Surprisingly easy on the palate. Yet quite full in the mouth with soft carbonation. Flavorfull and complex. Full malty with loads of fruity and resinous hops. Chocolate/coffe-accented malts and bold bitterness in a lingerering finish. Good, indeed.

1pint 6 fl oz bottle. End of the world beer 21/12/2012. Poured coffee black wirh a creamy, beige head. Moccha, oatmeal, milk chocolate and roasted malt in aroma. Flavor has hops, roastedness, oatmeal and coffee. Silky smooth mouthfeel, quite dry hoppy finish with layers of chocolate and milk coffee. Highly enjoyable, like the smoothness and the late hoppyness. Glad I got to try this as I am a huge Amon Amarth fan.
