Bottle, 22oz, shared by OleR. It pours an almost black body, at least it’s very dark brown. Light tan head of moderate size on top. Some lacings. The aroma is roasted and chocolatey, with some coffee, as well as fluorish, resiny hops. A faint smoke note in the end. The flavor is a bit more pronounced than the aroma, with the same roasted and chocolatey thing running the show, and the hops bringing balance to the accounts. Well, at least close to balance. Lightly roasted towards the mostly chocolatey and piney finish. Some room for coffee too, and a lasting bitterness. Full-bodied, and nicely carbonated, sweetish, yet dry, on the palate. A rather lovely one, both tasteful and dangerously easy to drink. 120825

18th November 2011 Opaque black beer, good tan head. Nice fruity nose that also has a whiff of wood and smoke. Crispy semi dry palate. Good hops - strong pine and nice citrus. Rich dark malt and dark chocolate. Lactose and coffee. Trace of tangy red berry fruits. Minerals. Strong red berry fruits and pine in the finish. Comes over like a fine Black IPA, lovely!

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Deep black colour with a small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma is roasted, light liqourice, mild chocolate, some pepper, mildly vinious. Low carbonation, first feels a bit watery for 8 % ABV, then turns fine dry and light creamy. Flavour is elegant, to the sweet side, roasted, milky, chocolate, light liqourice. Good dry malty finish with piney hops. Delicious and very drinkable.
