Bomber from jrallen34. Pours dark brown/black with a four finger tan head. Aroma of smoked resin over dark malt. With fresh evergreen Med body. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, pine, citrus and dark smoke malt. Beautiful beer.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar. Dark brown coloured. Light brown head. Aroma of herbs, flowers, spice and roast. Flavour of cocoa, roast, some grass and herbs, light brown sugar. Medium to full bodied. Roasty bitter end.

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted smoke malt and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark roasted bittersweet flavor with medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex beer.

Bottle … Pours dark brown (nearly black) with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The aroma is a menacing marriage of dark rye malt, leather, earthy burnt hops, charcoal smoke and light maple. Full-bodied and fatty with tingly carbonation. The flavor is burnt, spicy and very bitter – mostly rye, black malts and charcoal. Lengthy, charred, bitter finish. Having seen Amon Amarth perform live a couple times, I really wanted to love this beer, but only liked it a little. Bottle courtesy of KickInChalice!

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Roast, some chocolate, smoke, licorice, and some ashiness.

Bottle. Pitch black beer with a quite lasting brownish head. Chocolate aroma, cocoa powder, salty, vanilla, cream, tar notes, licorice, metal notes. Chocolate flavor, tar, bitter, roasted, cocoa, vanilla notes, coffee notes. Bitter roasted chocolate flavor with tar and cocoa powder.

Bottle shared by BA teamizm. Pours with a near black body that coats the glass a bit. Tan head that slowly fades. Aromas are huge with citrus hops, german pumpernickel bread, rye, roast, slightly smokey, coffee, chocolate cake and brown sugar. Flavors are roasty, spicy, hoppy, citrus, bready. Medium bitter, dry with a long duration. Chocolate. Medium bubbles. Smokey finish.

Huge tan head, very stable over black beer, leaving shards of lace. Wood, chocolate and overwhelming but very aromatic C-hops; very dry, severe. Very bitter-woody flavour; slighlty smoked, lots of bitter chocolate. Quite burnt, stoutlike flavours and - acidity; long-lasting. Very well-bodied & slick, alcoholwarming; feels quite well-balanced. Yes, another one. It’s very good of course, but I’m slowly tiring of these in-your-face monsters.

Deep brown, with a beige head. Aroma of smoke, char, asphalt, cocoa, pencil shavings. Flavor of cocoa, smoke, bacon, coffee. Awesome.
