Opaque dark brown with small tan head. Aroma of citrus, coffee, grass, chocolate, licorice and biscuit. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of chocolate, grass, tropical fruit and coffee. Full bodied with medium carbonation.

Large bottle.
Nice chocolate and coffee nose with soy and wood. Black with lace. Fruity chocolate flaor, coffee, very nice fruitiness including citrus from the hops. Tangy and rich. Very good.

Bomber from FlandersNed-thanks, Steve! Pours dark brown with fairly thick but fading head. Nice dark roast malts and a touch of light roast coffee on nose. Some subtle smoke aroma on nose as it warmed. Straight forward, but very solid porter flavors. That Signature 3Floyd’s taste.
Slightly metallic after taste after it warmed. Reminiscent of a drier Alpha Klaus. Liked it and it’s held up well, but I’d say smoke ’em if ya got ’em.

22 oz. bottle, sent from StFun (thanks a lot, Josh), pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma is full of roasted malt, a little smoke, a little anise and licorice. Flavour brings out some roasty notes, some metallic notes, a bit of smoke, and oxidation. Full-bodied, a bit sludgy, with some notes that don’t really blend well -- seems a bit off the mark for the Three Floyds typical quality. Only decent.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Roast, some chocolate, smoke, licorice, and some ashiness.

22oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Dark red, dark brown color, but clear still. Good thin light brown head. Nice spread of lace. Good earthy piney tasty malt nose. Nice dark chocolate notes in the flavor. Bigger body, good smooth but crisp lighter carbonation. Some cola. Hint of herbal / tobacco notes. Light bitterness... Some sweet... and some odd tartness, as well. Not too bad alcohol for 8.2%, just that strange sourness in the finish... Still though, a great hoppy porter. Was taken aback by how hoppy Three Floyds’ Alpha Klaus was, but I can’t help but like this particular hoppy porter... More good portery malt balance, less over-the-top hoppiness, here.

Bottle at a bottle share. Pours a rather dark brown color. Nose is very slightly sour with some floral hoppy elements to it. Taste is a tad bitter with some good roasting in there. Nice and smooth.

Bottle that has been in my cupboard for over a year. I had fresh and thought it was very hoppy, almost black IPA like. Tried this bottle aged. Completly black pour. The hops are gone. Left behind a dark stale malt with a bit of licorice and tar. Tastes like an english style porter. Not a fan of these porters without any sweetness. Fairly thick
