Pitch black body, brown head. Aroma is very complex and has nice sweet roasted malts with some dark fruits and chocolate. Flavour is even more complex with some acidic, but still sweet dark malts, piney hoppiness, some hints of smoke and chocolate. Really nicely balanced and overall really fullfilling beer.

1pint 6 fl oz bottle. End of the world beer 21/12/2012. Poured coffee black wirh a creamy, beige head. Moccha, oatmeal, milk chocolate and roasted malt in aroma. Flavor has hops, roastedness, oatmeal and coffee. Silky smooth mouthfeel, quite dry hoppy finish with layers of chocolate and milk coffee. Highly enjoyable, like the smoothness and the late hoppyness. Glad I got to try this as I am a huge Amon Amarth fan.

Bomber picked up by BuckeyeSammy for me from the brewery:
pours blackish brown, tan fluffy head. great retention for over an hour. smoked meats, roasted malts, spicy/herbal notes, pepper, espresso, and cocoa on the nose. more smoked malts, spicy hops, vanilla and cream, espresso bitterness. this beer gets more complex as it warms. medium bodied and very drinkable. Great.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bseribeer (128) - Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Had last night at The Bottom Lounge on tap. Great collaboration. Strong coffee and chocolate notes. Pours dark, opaque brown with a thin, tan head. Taste is robust. Different from a traditional porter, with more hops bitterness, but very delectable. Thick on the palate with a heavy finish. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this Strong Porter. Very different from the rest of the Three Floyds main lineup.

Lactose type aroma. Hoppy bitter finish, very resiny. Big roasty flavors. This is pretty delicious.

Dark brown/black beer with a one inch head poured into a duvel glass. Aroma is of coffee, dark fruit, and bittersweet chocolate.
Strong malt and lightly smokey flavor. The hop bitterness blends in well and cuts through the malt nicely. There is a honey flavor present and the aftertaste definately carries dark chocolate tones. The mouthfeel is somewhat thin but manages to coat the mouth. The alcohol is well hidden. I first had this on Christmas day and will buy again until it’s gone. It is a decently complex ale for the style.
Oh and Amon Amarth rules.
