COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This complex double India pale ale has an intense citrus and floral hop aroma balanced by a velvety malt body which has been augmented with lactose milk sugar. With this different take on an IPA we have brewed an ale that is both pleasing to drink and, once again, “not normal.” Cheers! 100 IBU 11.0%ABV (used to be 9.5%)

Golden copper color with tiny floaties, finger of white head. Smells of lactose, carmel, aspirin, floral notes. A medium bitter with some sweet caramel malt, vanilla, the bitter is like eating an aspirin, ends with some citrus, fruit rind. This is a weird one, lactose smoothed it out a little, but not a good bitter, some honey biscuit like sweetness is good. All together good effort but not one I'd drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden with thick off white head. Aroma is big citrus and floral hops. Taste is sweet juicy citrus upfront with some sweet caramel and bread malt on the follow through. Aftertaste is lingering dank piney hops. Palate is medium and sticky. Overall this is an outstanding double ipa with great balance and an abundance of hop flavor!

Bottle color of honey. Nose tropical fruit hop and syrupy malt. Taste dank earthy hop with a citrus bite. Mid palate not as sweet as expected. Nice bitter finish. Solid beer, but a little disappointing compared to the other fantastic hop bombs from 3F.

Poured yellow with a nice floral aroma and nice head. Great hop flavor that was not over the top. Body was wonderful. Aftertaste left you wanting more!

Bottle at Bruce’s, big thanks to Paul for sharing, 06/08/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter hops, bitter grapefruit and orange, pine, sweet notes on th finish. Taste comprises caramel malts, sugars, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, juicy tropicals. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, agressive hop bitterness and light booze in the finale. Solid DIPA.

Caramel, resin, spruce, floral, citrus, and a wisp of alcohol in the aroma leads to light sweetness in the taste followed by a bitter wave that fades slowly. The ales is a hazy golden-orange with a fluffy but tight white head that fades to a ring around my Greenbush snifter. With its medium body, creamy and slick texture, average carbonation, and bitter finish, the palate is where the Cow separates itself from other IIPAs.

From a bomber, pours hazy gold with pronounced white head which quickly fades. Strong citrus and tropical fruit aromas, balanced with solid malt presence and a mellow mouth feel, is that the milk sugar? It works... Outstanding ... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle via trade with George, shared at Jack’s farewell tasting. It pours clear golden-amber with a large off-white head. The nose is juicy tangerine, orange, passion fruit, sherbet and light pine. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, pine, zesty orange, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, icing sugar and some alcohol with a clean finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. In reality probably a touch sweet for my liking, but it is smooth, tasty and rather easy drinking....

Bottle at Bruce’s in London. Many thanks to Paul. Pours lightly hazy with a bubbly white head. Semi-ripe citrus aroma, a bit of dry pine, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor, lots of dry, bitter pine and straw, orange, mango, light alcohol. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finish is warming and fairly resinous, some sugary citrus, orange, a bit of white bread, nectarine. Quite tasty.

22oz bottle poured into an english pint. Pours a clear rust orange with minimal head. Aroma of light citrus and pine with caramel. Taste is light bitter and medium sweet. Citrus and resinous pine with loads of caramel and toffee on the back end. Full bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long boozy finish. Overall, not bad. Not as good as i was expecting.
