This complex double India pale ale has an intense citrus and floral hop aroma balanced by a velvety malt body which has been augmented with lactose milk sugar. With this different take on an IPA we have brewed an ale that is both pleasing to drink and, once again, “not normal.” Cheers! 100 IBU 11.0%ABV (used to be 9.5%)

citrus, milky, floral aroma. Burnt orange with small but nice white head. Starts out as almost a creamy citrus. odd yet intriguing. Ends lighter and more hoppy.

Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! Plenty of grapefruit citrus notes and floral hops. Sweet cream and corn with bubble gum sweetness. Slight vegetal notes in the finish. Nice IPA.

Very interesting beer. Intense citrus twang with a milky-like, honey-like sweetness at its core. Orange peel. Nutty and woodsy resin. Impeccably hidden big alcohol. Zingy hops. Curiously mild yet balanced bitterness. Soothing and smooth beer with many layers of flavor.

Bottle cheers to Colin. Even reminded me it was from him with his name written on the lid in texter. Good stuff. Pours bright orange with a thick white cap on top. Fantastic lacing, so sticky. Nose is full of dank, stewed pineapple and major zesty citric notes. Taste is quite sticky and resinous with loads of cooked pineapple and grapefruit focus. Has a fantastic zing of spice and zest right on the back end which works a treat. Very tasty

Pours a dark golden orange. Aroma is fantastic! Citrus, malts and a sugary back note. Taste is awesome. Smooth, citrus up front with some malt notes in the middle with a nice rush of the milk sugar that is out of this works. Mouthfeel is velvet smooth. Awesome, unique beer!

A - Pours a mostly clear and light amber with a solid 2 finger cap on top. Retains very well and never quite vanishes. S - Tangy dull citrus, yeasty bread, a mix of stone fruit and mango, smells sweet. Solid hops come to the forefront once warmed up a bit. T - A multitude of citrus, tangerine, orange, mandarin, some lemon, sharp and zesty. Spicy floral jumps out in the middle along with a white bread malt backing and sweet caramel. The malt is sweet and hefty but lighter. (If that makes any sense) Mango comes in the mix along with a notes of pine that increases with bitterness toward the finish. Citrus oil is left on the aftertaste. M - Medium bodied but seemed hefty, moderate carbonation, very soft and creamy feel, dry finish. Great hops with a hefty but light malt backing. I liked the spiciness and it carried well with the all around citrus profile. Great mouthfeel as it tricks your palate trying to decide if it’s full or light. Glad I got my hands on one of these. Opaque Hazy Orange, Lasting Huge Foamy Head, Decent Lacing. Surprisingly, Virtually No Aroma, Only Faint Hops. Initially Bitter and Light Booze then bitterness goes away or your Palate gets used to it. So The Further you get in your drink, there is no bitter, only sweet sugary Malt. Full Creamy Body. Real Smooth and Easy Drinker. Hides High ABV Well. Feels like only half of its actual 11%. Nice. Enjoyed It. Recommended...

Bottle @ Bruce’s. The pour’s amber with a small head. Pretty herbal nose. Peppery tree roots, grass, flowers. Some toffee. Pretty malty flavors. Caramel donut with accents of flowers and more pepper. Mild lemon and cantaloupe fruits. Medium body, fine carbonation. A touch sweet and heavy for my tastes. Overall, fine.

Bottle share at darkness day. Pour is orange/golden with a foamy white head. Aroma and flavor is pure hops with notes of citrus, grapefruit, lemon zest, and caramel. Sweet finish, medium carbonation.

Rated on 8-03-2009 (Bottle) This beer forms a medium creamy smooth fizzy off-white head with a mostly lasting retention, transparent/slightly hazy golden body, and a fair amount of lacing. The Aroma is bready and caramel malt, citrus, pine, and floral hops. The Taste is semi-sweet, bitter, caramel malt, citrus, and pine hops. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is a beer for hopheads which I am not. It is definitely worth trying.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and tropical hops is quite present with some sweet notes being also easily perceptible. Taste is also dominated by huge citrus notes with some tropical notes also noticeable. Sweet notes are easily perceptible and maybe a tad too much for my own taste. Body is about average with somewhat of an oily texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Interesting but too sweet for my taste buds and therefore a bit of a disappointment considering the brewery.
