Opalescent deep amber /light caramel coloured with a fine frothy white head. On the nose light graperuit aromas develop with faintly roasted walnut notes and floral hops with touches of malt notes. The texture is soft with a medium body, lightly sweet with a light bitter note giving flavours of floral, fruity lightly nutty notes. The finish lasts long and is coherently well balanced and pleasant.

Reviewed from notes. I poured this into a tulip and a chalice. The appearance was a nice golden orange brown in color with a decent one finger foamy head that rises a bit and falls in a concave sort of fashion leaving some nice foamy lacing in the wake of the fall. The smell had a ton of grapefruit up front with a decent caramel malty background delicately combining nicely. The taste was almost a perfect bittersweet between the hops and the malts as it wanted to pummel my taste buds but left just enough assault to still let the tastiness of this beer to wrap itself delicately around my mouth and tongue. There was a light grapefruit like aftertaste to lead into a dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium in body with a decent sessionable quality running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation pummels my mouth and tongue a bit, but not too much. Overall, this is an absolutely wonderful DIPA well worthy of having again, but because of where I live, Iíd have to trade for it again.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma is ruby red grapefruit, fresh cut oranges, floral notes, and honey. There are some hints of alcohol lying underneath the other aromas as well. Big punch of bitterness on the front end. The spicy bitterness from the hops lingers throughout the entire sip. The middle has some hints of honey sweetness and mild citrus flavors. There is some noticeable alcohol presence but nothing overwhelming. Overall an enjoyable DIPA. This one was bottled February 26th so itís going on 2 1/2 months old. Not sure how big a factor that plays with this particular beer.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade pre-CBC. Out of the three floyds beers i had this day this was the least exciting. Maybe the IIPAs have just been over done. Itís a really decent beer but it didnít surprise me in anyway.

c/o NeoHippie2. Thanks again! Aroma - is rich with big booming West Coast oiled up hop action, some pungent citrus, and a hearty caramalt backbone. Appearance - Orange body color; liquid is cloudy; the head never really set up well, surprising for an IPA, which reflects in the score, the was about 3/4" off white head. Some dappled lacing, but not much. Taste - itís big and rich, full of boozy pine and citrus and beefed up caramalt. There are the oily West Coast hops - Warrior, Tomahawk, and Centennials (amongst others) and some citrus which includes grapefruit and blood orange. Palate - the body is medium; the texture oily; the carbonation is average; the finish is pined and oily booze.
