3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber poured into a wide flute. Notes of grapefruit rind, orange jelly (marmalade), sour green grapes, and some pine can be picked up by the nose off this one. It pours a hazy orange / light amber color with a white creamy head. A medium thick ring retains and a light, splotchy, runny lace is left behind. The taste is a mellow, medium high bitter with a subtle, dry, medium sweet and a touch of sour. The beer is medium body with a creamy texture and lots of fuzzy carbonation. A prominent, sweet marmalade note starts off the taste, followed by a sharp, bitter grapefruit rind finish with a pine and dry pinot white wine touch. The wine flavor turns a bit towards sour in the aftertaste and lingers awhile with the pine. Interesting and unique flavor combinations.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Opalescent deep amber /light caramel coloured with a fine frothy white head. On the nose light graperuit aromas develop with faintly roasted walnut notes and floral hops with touches of malt notes. The texture is soft with a medium body, lightly sweet with a light bitter note giving flavours of floral, fruity lightly nutty notes. The finish lasts long and is coherently well balanced and pleasant.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Reviewed from notes.
I poured this into a tulip and a chalice.
The appearance was a nice golden orange brown in color with a decent one finger foamy head that rises a bit and falls in a concave sort of fashion leaving some nice foamy lacing in the wake of the fall.
The smell had a ton of grapefruit up front with a decent caramel malty background delicately combining nicely.
The taste was almost a perfect bittersweet between the hops and the malts as it wanted to pummel my taste buds but left just enough assault to still let the tastiness of this beer to wrap itself delicately around my mouth and tongue. There was a light grapefruit like aftertaste to lead into a dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium in body with a decent sessionable quality running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation pummels my mouth and tongue a bit, but not too much.
Overall, this is an absolutely wonderful DIPA well worthy of having again, but because of where I live, I’d have to trade for it again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma is ruby red grapefruit, fresh cut oranges, floral notes, and honey. There are some hints of alcohol lying underneath the other aromas as well. Big punch of bitterness on the front end. The spicy bitterness from the hops lingers throughout the entire sip. The middle has some hints of honey sweetness and mild citrus flavors. There is some noticeable alcohol presence but nothing overwhelming. Overall an enjoyable DIPA. This one was bottled February 26th so it’s going on 2 1/2 months old. Not sure how big a factor that plays with this particular beer.
