Light amber very cloudy. Nose slightly more mute than expected. Hint of grass and spice. Thick mouthfeel, very rich. Malts are big, grassy toffee. Hops are rich and lingering.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Draught at Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen, 13 July 2013) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, orange, caramel and grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, a touch of resin, plenty of malt and a solid citric/resinous bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with an impressive hop presence. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to charule from the brewery. Pours clear orange with a slight white head. Piney resinous hop aroma. Tasty but definitely more bitter than Dreadnaught so it's not as balanced. Not for those who shy away from bitter beers. Dry finish. Some lacing but not a ton. Palate is silky.

Delicious. Great colour and foamed head lacing the glass well that brings out the aroma of citrus subtly and spruce. Taste is medium bitter.

Fresh bottle unleashes a fruity aroma explosion in my glass. Beautiful pour too, as lace and head stick around for the party. Juicy hops supplement the piney base; sweet malt pushes back against the bitterness. Better than I remembered!

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy amber pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is huge on bitter hos, resin, and citrus. Flavor is smooth, almost sweet, but still hits with the hops. Great, but dangerous stuff.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into signature teku glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Moderate soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, light pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, honey, light pine, and floral earthiness. Slight floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hop flavors; with a great bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly slick and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA as expected. Big hop flavor complexity and balance with moderate malts; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.
