3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared by yours truly at the Goose Island Southern Migration Event. Bit of an Onion Bomb. Still good, but lacking in malty sweet finish to balance its upfront bite. Pine and cotton candy on the nose. Clear color. Lively. Prefer other IIPAís. Bottle - Received in Trade

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber thanks to Jason from Lakewood. Poured a perfect unfiltered orange-yellow with a white top. Complex taste of citrus, barnyard, pine, sweet apricot, spruce, with a slightly bitter finish. Medium carbonation, thin body. Alcohol very well hidden.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Muddled, hazy orange & rustic amber body with a lightly foamy, off-white head that turns into a chunky collar & film quickly. The appearance alone tells me thisíll be another quite malty DIPA. The aroma confirms that notion... Lots of sweet caramel malt on the nose, undercurrents of floral hops, pines, toasted bread, mango & guava juice, perfume, & toffee sweetness. Very sweet, more so than hoppy. Taste is also quite sweet, maltier than I like my DIPAs to be... Caramel, sweet bread & toast with overtones of mango, orange, pineapple, & some sticky, borderline dank tropical fruits. Bitterness doesnít taste anywhere close to the stated 100 IBUs. Big, thick, sticky body. I donít love this. Much like Dreadnaught, itís too sweet for my DIPA preferences, although the heavy tropical notes are nice. This would be better with a lighter malt bill, methinks.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated on 7-09-2010 at 800 Degrees Pizza in Fort Wayne, IN. This bottled beer pours a small white head with a short retention, opaque body, and a good amount of lacing. The aroma is malt, citrus and pine hops. The taste is quite bitter, malty, citrus, and pine hops. The palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. The hops dominate all around which they should given the beerís style. This is a beer for hop heads and worth trying. Another tasty beer from Three Floyds Brewing Company!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from the brewery pours a hazy orange/amber with medium white head and thin lacing. Aromas of pine and citrus with medium-high bitter flavor. This bottle is a little past its prime but still very good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap. Nice citric, pine, grassy hop aroma. Cloudy yellow, offwhite creamy head. Medium body, sticky resinny. Leafy, grapefruit, grass, retsina. Unbalanced towards the sticky hops, gets tiresome.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy amber with thin white head. Aroma is boozy, with solid hops present in form of pine and grass. Taste is smooth. Very hoppy, piney with some resin. No alcohol presence. Palate is light carbonation with slight oily thickness. Great beer. Doesnít dissappoint.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big boy served in a DFH IPA glass.
A - Pours a cloudy burnt orange with one finger of white head. Average retention with nice lacing.
S - Citrus and apricots jump right out followed by pine, honey bread, sweet alcohol.
T - Pine, citrus, and floral hops, bitter up front, thereís a tangy citrus/fruit note in there that is very pronounced. Lots of apricot with spicy tropical fruit gaining ground as it warms. Spearmint shows up along with spicy greens. Light but sturdy malts underneath blend right in added a candy sweetness. Pine and citrus continue with a peppery bitterness but the bitterness dies down toward the finish.
M - Moderate creamy carbonation, light side of medium body,
The yeast throws out some odd esters and the bitterness is all upfront, dying gradually toward the finish. Heavy spearmint really and spicy greens really add to the diversity of this beer.
I like that this isnít the(run of the mill)DIPA. Thereís a mix of flavors that make this stand out among itís peers. Try to get your hands on one of these.
