bomber from keenan 3/24/11. one of the all time great labels... too bad the contents can’t live up... golden yellow with a small off white head. aromas of peach, cooked apricot, caramely malt, spice and lots of lemon. the flavor is the same only more lemon pledge-like with lots of spice on the finish and an earthy aftertaste. syrupy spiced filled mouth feel. 6/3/6/3/13

bottle-pours very hazy bright orange with a small soapy white head with most of it staying in the middle of my unibroue tulip glass. nose is overtly sweet, cloying mess of alcohol, piney hops, sticky sweet sugar-smells like a diabetes IPA if i ever smelled one! very oxidized nose as well. fussel alcohol flavors-heat, lite pine and citric tones with a cardboard note as well. Well, all i know is this beer would have sucked if it was fresh-i can tell by the construction of the brew that its not well put together. This brewery has become over-hyped and their beers have suffered ever since they opened that dumb brewpub. Its really sad because this brewery was once amazing before their head got way too big and the rest of the world found out about them.

Hazey, deep gold with soft white head. Sweet, hoppy balanced aroma. Chewy body with a nice piney hop strength and fairly sweet.

650 ml bottle from secret santa. Thanks santa. Pours a cloudy brass color with a small white head that soon recedes to a fine film. The aroma is pungent with sweetened citrus, floral and caramel. The flavor, like the nose, is dominated by the citrus--grapefruit, oranges, lemons and a wee bit of caramel filling in the sides. The palate is light but effective with soft carbonation. Finishes short and dry with a touch of biter resins hanging around. Overall: I find this dangerously drinkable, very well crafted DIPA.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange. Lots of haze little foam. Aroma is funky of peaches, sweet malts, very little hops presence. Taste is good. Lightly bitter, nice burn, showing the ABV nicely. Oddly smooth. I expect the Dreadnaught will have more of an edge. Nice stuff.

On tap: The aroma consists of heavy citrus (oranges), peach, and grapefruit. It’s a transparent golden orange with a small soapy white head. The flavor starts with quick dose of orange and peach. The finishis heavy on the grapefruit, light orange peel, and just a hint of alcohol. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a highly drinkable IIPA.

Ebay purchase. Cloudy golden pour with an aroma of caramel, hop, vanilla, and orange peel. The taste was a bit complex, but interesting. The first thing I noticed was the citrus hop flavor. Then, it morphed into a earth vanilla tone. The finish, as I allowed it to warm, revealed to be a bit lemony and bitter. It was really good.!

Pours a lovely golden yellow, with nice-sized, lasting head. Some citrus, some other fruit (apricot?), maybe a touch of soapiness, along with a very pronounced piney hop bite. Has a nice dry finish to it. Liked this one.

Bottle from Santa. Clear light golden pour with a small white head. Big piney resiny aroma, bits of tropical fruit, big time citrus, orange peel. Flavors were strong bitter orange peel, citrus for days. Mouthfeel was smooth, carbonation was about average. Long lingering bitter finish. Left a wonderfully bittersweet, citrus on the palate long after each sip. This is very good but I don’t think it would stand out in a line-up.

Bottle at Papsř’s
Hazy deep blond color; small head. Strong hop aroma, citrusy and resiny, very good in their balance; turning into a manure feeling too. The body is dry enough, indeed not too cloying, the malt/toffee flavor is present, but hopeless in front of the powerful hopping, with a quite citrusy character. Extreme, and extremely enjoyable.
