A massive IPA that will leave your palate it’s hapless victim. Scorched earth is our brewery policy. 100IBU 9%ABV

Bottle from unknown via Kyler B. Pours a clear orange amber, decent amount of off white head. Aroma resin and caramel, crisp with a hint of grapefruit as well. Body medium-starchy, finish slightly bitter, warm and lush, another solid IIPA from FFF.

"Cool and unique - never had a dry hopped mead before. Abv hidden, hippiness a really nice twist, especially in the nose. Light honey and a citrusy bitterness throughout. "

22 oz bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear peach color with a creamy white head that fades to a wisp and light lacing. Aroma is hops and tropical fruit with pineapple and malt. Flavor is same with big hop character. Medium bodied, active carbonation, and bitter finish with alcohol well masked. Solid.

Pretty solid DIPA, good aroma, reasonably fruity flavor. More tropical than anything else.

I got this one in a recent trade with spycow. Decided I would bring it to our IPA day celebration.

A - Pours golden orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving small wisps of lace down the glass.

S - Smells of grassy hops, tropical fruits; mostly grapefruit and mango; lightly toasted caramel malt, some day old bread, and the faintest hint of warming booze.

T - Starts off with a nice grassy hop bite quickly giving way to a mix of grapefruit, mango, sweet caramel malt, chewy bread, and some warming alcohol. The finish is a mix of light sweetness and hop bitterness, lingering for a short period of time.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Sweet, hoppy, feel that lingers on the pallet for some time after finish.

O - I liked this one. It wasn’t as good as the Dreadnaught I opened right before it but it was still pretty good. Another winner from FFF in my book.

Super complex hoppy aroma. Get tropical fruits, peach, grapefruit and a hint of pine and some sweet malt. Really well balanced and a great example of style. Clear golden color. Flavour is equally delicious, a great mix of tropical hop juice flavors and not much bitterness in the finish. Again stone fruit, citrus come through predominantly in the flavor, finishes slightly piney. Less sweet malt than would have been expected in the aroma. For 100IBU imperial IPA, this is super drinkable and hits all the right hop notes for my palate. Average carbonation and medium/heavy bodied.

Bottle pour thanks to Fitz, fresh from Indy. Pours a golden orange color with thick white head. Intoxicating aroma of apricot, orange peel, caramel and earthiness. Wow. Pulls you in. Sweet pungent citrus caramel taste with a nice hop hit and frothy mouthfeel. It’s a keeper. Too bad Fitz only brought me one bottle.

From a 22 oz bomber to a tulip glass, about a week old from the brewery. Aroma: a mild hop nose with notes of dried fruit, particularly apricot and orange peel, along with a little bready malt Appearance: pale orange, with a little cloudiness and a white head that recedes into lacing as you drink Taste: Loads of orange/tangerine jelly & dried apricot, and a caramel malt backbone that balances nicely for such a huge IPA. Pleasant lingering bitterness that isn’t overwhelming. Palate: A medium body with average carbonation that leaves a resinous finish behind as mentioned above. Overall: Another excellent IPA from Three Floyds, and overall more unique to me. Almost tastes like a fruity trail mix blend. Good stuff.

taster on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber, full off-white head cover, dots of lace. Taste is caramel malt that gives in to strong hops early in the palate. Sweet malt hangs on at the finish along with the bittering. Strong brew with overtones of alcohol, very drinkable.

Bomber. Pours a gorgeous Orange with a nice head. Smells of big time fruit and floral. Huge fruity taste. Big and hoppy just like an imperial should be. One of the best imperial ipa’s out there.
