UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Have had plenty of times, but have never reviewed it. Pours a hazy sunset orange color with a finger length head that goes away quickly. All their double ipas look the same, but that’s not a bad thing. Nice carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of resinous pine, fresh cut grass, apricot, little sweetness, breadiness quality to it, little orange. Very dry. Interesting smell. Taste starts with a smack in the face of abrasive bitterness. Get some apricot, orange, tons of grapefruit, pine, some grass in the front. Then the breadiness from the malts kick in in the middle and somewhat cut the bitterness. The sweetness from the dextrose sugar also comes in and somewhat balances it. Then on the back end, just loads of more abrasive bitterness, but accompanied with flavors of grapefruit, apricot, mango, pine, some grass, some floral notes as well. The sweetness lingers through the back end. The carbonation does wonders for this beer to at least try to clean the palate from the resinous hop qualities. Very dry finish. No detection of the 9% alcohol content, which has never been a problem for them. High medium body with a creamy and oily texture from the hop oils. If you are a hop head, you will love this beer. Very intense, yet complex.

Pale wheat yellow, scattered bubbles that dissipate quickly. Smells like thick tropical fruit, plenty of pineapple and mango. Taste is tropical fruit as well, but with a thick orange-peel hoppy coating that leaves the mouth bitter and dry.

Bottle thanks to Nick. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy beige head that lasts. The aroma is grapefruit and pine. Medium mouthfeel with nice hop bite, grapefruit and light bready malt finish. Very good.

Part of an IPA tasting, full pour. Orange/amber with tall fizzy head. Lots of fruit in the nose - tropical, stone. Really nice. Taste brings in some resin/spruce notes with lots of aforementioned fruit. Tangerine and pineapple stand out a bit. A sweet/slight bitter finish. Nice.

Pours a clear darker golden color with white head. Pine, citrus, resin, some floral notes, and a little grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Hop bomb here, finishes with bite.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. White pancake head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Caramel, resin and pine aromas. Sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to bitter pine before the lasting earthy resin finish.

Draught at Tap House Munich. Deep orange, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head. Great tropical fruit aroma of grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, banana, dried fruits, grains, some pine. Taste with the same aromas, very very smooth and perfectly balanced. Mouthfeel is medium, oily to creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes smooth, bitter, sour and very fruity. Fantastic DIPA! A tropical fruit bomb, that is so well balanced, as so many beers from FFF! The alcohol is very well hidden, so that this is easy to drink. Just tasty!

Tap. Aroma is nice, pineapple, pine, sweet hops, some tangerine. Taste doesn’t live up to the aroma, but quite a bit grapefruit, and very nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is medium, and a lot fuller than expected, quite nice, a bit more piney, and not as fruity as I’d like it..
