Dark beer with a foamy tan head that left lots of lacing on the glass. Roasted grain nose with a bit of fruit in it. Very soft mouth feel bordering on the creamy. Flavors of burnt caramel, dark roasted grains, some dark fruit and a long bitter grassy hop finish. Interesting oatmeal stout.

2015 bottle. Dark cola color, half finger off white head. Smells of light chocolate, some lactic, medicinal, plastic, bandaid. Taste is light as well, some chocolate, nothing too distinguishable, fudge, cocoa, black pepper. Light carbonation, light sweetness, strange for an oatmeal stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bomber into snifter. Black with large light brown head, big roasted notes, some wood, oatmeal, a hint of spice maybe anise. Medium body, low carbonation, slightly sweet. Vanilla, chocolate finish. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Very solid oatmeal stout. Pretty simple in taste and aroma. Perfect for a chilly evening. Nice beer

tap - Near black pour with a fast fading tan head, dark roast malt and chocolate aroma... the full flavor is big on the dark roast malt with mild chocolate and bitterness. It’s full bodied and good.

Pours opaque sable with a good light tan head. Aroma features caramel, chocolate and roast malt tones. Sweetish flavor presents notes of chocolate, caramel, molasses, roast malt and nuts. Mouthfeel is not as fizzy or firm as other stouts I have tried, but it does please. Backmask for better flavor.

Rated on 10-21-2015 (Draft at 800 Degrees Three Fires-Fort Wayne, IN) When served, the head is very small, tan and mostly diminished. It has an opaque body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is light roasted malt and light coffee. The flavor is lightly bitter, roasted malt and citrus hops. This beer’s mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is not the best beer of this style that I have rated and not one of the better beers from Three Floyds that I have rated. It is quaffable and hops come out in the end of the flavor.

Pours black with a thick and sticky foam head that hugs my glass. The aroma is of dark malts, some roast, ash, and chocolate. Tasting, I picked up on roasted dark malts, smoked flavor, chocolate, mild oats, and a good bitterness. The body is full and the finish is rather good. Overall this a good beverage.

22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a darker brown to black. No visible clarity. Khaki colored head that is velvety and has lengthy retention. The aroma has mild roasty notes, some ash, granola, and a bit of nut. The taste has low sweetness, medium bitterness, strong roast. Creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
