3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap - Near black pour with a fast fading tan head, dark roast malt and chocolate aroma... the full flavor is big on the dark roast malt with mild chocolate and bitterness. It’s full bodied and good.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours opaque sable with a good light tan head. Aroma features caramel, chocolate and roast malt tones. Sweetish flavor presents notes of chocolate, caramel, molasses, roast malt and nuts. Mouthfeel is not as fizzy or firm as other stouts I have tried, but it does please. Backmask for better flavor.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 10-21-2015 (Draft at 800 Degrees Three Fires-Fort Wayne, IN) When served, the head is very small, tan and mostly diminished. It has an opaque body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is light roasted malt and light coffee. The flavor is lightly bitter, roasted malt and citrus hops. This beer’s mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is not the best beer of this style that I have rated and not one of the better beers from Three Floyds that I have rated. It is quaffable and hops come out in the end of the flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a thick and sticky foam head that hugs my glass. The aroma is of dark malts, some roast, ash, and chocolate. Tasting, I picked up on roasted dark malts, smoked flavor, chocolate, mild oats, and a good bitterness. The body is full and the finish is rather good. Overall this a good beverage.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a darker brown to black. No visible clarity. Khaki colored head that is velvety and has lengthy retention. The aroma has mild roasty notes, some ash, granola, and a bit of nut. The taste has low sweetness, medium bitterness, strong roast. Creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was dark malt. The smooth mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium mild roasted malt aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of roasted malt brown malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bomber into a snifter. Pours a very dark black with some corresponding head. Decent but uninspiring aroma of cocoa. Mouthfeel is thin. I know this isn’t Dark Lord, but it’s really thin. Solid amount of carb. Flavors are very mild, cocoa, coffee, milk chocolate. Eh, OK but nothing special.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle provided by brother at my wedding. Consumed on honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains. Glossy black pour with one finger of dark tan, medium bubble head. Aroma is heavily roasted with a background of creamy oatmeal. Tight carbonation and well blended flavors. Black licorice finish. Rich and flavorful for a oatmeal stout. Just hints of alcohol that may have been better hidden.
