Little cloudy purple brown beer, small irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of vanilla, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: vanilla, alcohol, caramel, lots of chocolate, sugary, sweet. Aftertaste: alcohol, bit sourish, caramel, chocolate, little bitter.

Tap sample. Poured black color with medium frothy tan head that lasted with excellent lacing. Aroma is very complex with roasted chocolate and dark grain. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark chocolate sweet flavor and moderate to heavy complex dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex beer.

22oz bottle pours an inky black with some creamy, tan head. Nose has dark chocolate, pencil lead, raisin, malt, toast. Flavor has more chocolate, some oats, some cola, a little black pepper. Peppery finish.

Charcoal and plastic aroma. Cola brown, thin tan head. Vanilla flavor, quite dry. Vanilla lingers on the palate, medium body, alcohol well concealed. Kind of a one note beer, but good.

This pours a pitch black color with a slight foamy head. The aroma is mild with hints of toffee and cocoa. The taste is smooth and erupts with delicious flavors. Like all 3 Floyds beers, this one is well made.

Black pour with a tan head. Roasted malt aromas with notes of coffee and cocoa. Flavor is mildly sweet chocolate notes and hints of coffee. Very smooth and easy to drink.
