@ Mikkeller & Friends, København 15-8-7: Ingen stor grej, men en len och mjuk ök med fin balans. Toner av kaffe, vanilj och choklad.

Bomber to snifter, bottled on 6/16/15. Pours opaque with frothy, lasting deep-khaki head. Aroma of coffee, caramel malt, oats, hint of vanilla, mineral notes as well. Mouthfeel on the lighter side, a tad sticky linger; coffee, dark chocolate, and toastiness. Pretty ok.

Look - Dark brown body. Thick tan head without aggressive pour. Bubbles very fine then expanded. Lacing. Smell - Roast malt and chocolate. Coffee. Taste - Follows the smell. Bitter finish. Feel - Not overly carbonated. Creamy. Light to medium even as a stout. There is not overwhelming alcohol. Overall - Slightly bitter stout with creamy feel. It is not bad, but not amazing.

Pours a not quite black with a nice tan head and it’s nicely laced. Aroma of roasted malts and grain. Flavor is coffee with a hint of molasses. Very smooth and drinkable. I don’t remember where I bought it, but will keep an eye out for it. Wish it came in six packs.

22. Thanks, J! Pours a near-opaque dark ebony with a loose, thin, light-tan head. Chocolatey nose, showing some roast and a bit of sweet vanilla as well. Creamy body, almost thick, with soft carb. Roasty, milk chocolatey mid palate with a long, mildly sweet finish.

22 ounce bottle, bottled on 04/03/2015. No ABV on the label, but 3 Floyd’s website right now says this is 8% ABV. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stayed around for a little while. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, oats, chocolate, and some vanilla. The brew tastes like roasted malt, chocolate, oats, dark bread, burnt/charred malt, vanilla, coffee and some dark fruitiness. There’s also a nice bitter/charred/roasty finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s creamy and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. It’s pretty easy to drink. I thought this was good, I should have bought another bottle of this when I saw it! $12.99 a bomber.
