Draft at source. Black pour, tan head, good retention/lace. Aroma of coffee/chocolate/cream/roast. Taste is espresso, dark chocolate, roast, light creamer. Palate is soft and creamy, lightly bitter finish. Excellent.

Bottle picked up for hotel room consumption. I forgot to pack my bottle opener, but I was not deterred. Chevrolet car keys are not well designed to open the bottle, but I managed to make it happen, pours dark with a dark khaki head that washes away slightly. Big chocolate blast, espresso, caramel. Medium body, this is the best beer I had on this trip.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar, Stockholm. Black with a small head. Malty nose, caramel. Good spicy caramel flavours, some roasted notes. Dry finish. Very good.

Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. Aroma and taste of dark chocolate, roasted malt, oatmeal and some sweetness to it. Solid and tasty.

Poured from bottle into Teku glass. Not nearly as hoppy as your typical 3F fare. Thin body with no real aftertaste. A bit of the smooth oatmeal comes through but not really. A decent amount of complexity for a 5.9% ABV, but for $15 this is terribly overpriced.

This is a bit of a smokey stout. Sweet and smokey to me. Very enjoyable brew but just not what I’m looking for when I buy a stout. Unique.

Bomber. Pours a beautiful black with tan head. Smoke, dark chocolate and, dark fruit on the nose. Roastiness, caramel, oat cereal on the taste. Little thin on the palate. Fantastic oatmeal stout, not quite a founders breakfast stout but pretty close IMO.

Bottle shared with BBGTC. Pours a jet black body producing a small dark-tanned head. Aroma of ash and leather. Hints of vanilla and sweet malts. Taste is also very sweet and loaded with vanilla. Abit over the top one might say. Oily texture and softly carbonated.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep red-hued near-black brown body with a small beige head. Nose is licorice, leather, cereals and hints of vanilla and raisins. Taste is chocolate, licorice, caramel and hints of grains, filter coffee, vanilla and raisins. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Strangely enough, this one also seems a bit oxidized; these are not the notes I’d be expecting from an oatmeal stout.

From bomber. Pours block with a thick beige head and lots and lots of lacing. Aroma is roasted malts with some smokiness. Taste is roasted malts, smoke, dry. Rich full creamy mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation.

On tap at the Holy Grale. Dark brown pour with a brown head. Sweet roasted malt aromas. Creamy and sweet with caramel, oat, and light roasted malt notes. Good body and mouthfeel.
