Shared bomber to snifters. Black pour. Tan head. Nose is a good balance of hops and malt. Taste follows. I’m getting a little mint on the finish.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and dark brown with burnt-orange highlights and a small, creamy, beige head. Smells sweet, not crazy roasty, moreso notes of caramel and marshmallow. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced and roasty. Smooth. Doesn’t really trend sweet or bitter. Just right. Enjoyable, but thin in the finish. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark black with a thick dark chocolate colored head. A sugary chocolate aroma with a taste that follows. A nice mouthfeel that’s smooth and full. A slight hopped tingle on the tongue. A small bitter feel lingers on. Decent but a little off for me.

Jet Black color not light coming through. Aroma is of chocolate and a dark sweetness and some dark fruit. Taste is dark and sweet chocolate with some licorice. Another example of magic in a bottle from Three Floyds. Amazing stout.

Thick chugging black pour into a tulip glass with a nice big foamy tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and some oak. Taste is malty sweetness upfront with a little punch of bitterness and the coffee/dark chocolate lasting on the tounge. Mouth feel is a very nice thickness.

Decent. Smells great, vanilla. Sweet but not too much. Thin feel. Good but not one of my 3F favorites. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate notes, a little grain, some breadiness, and some light hops. Tastes produces a similar mixture with roasted malts and very slight hops.

Bottle @ Three Notch’d Tasting. Deep brown pour with a small head. Nose shows some age. Soy and paper. Oatmeal raisin cookie sweetness. Brown sugar. Similar flavors. Taste of smoked marshmallow. Soy and bakers chocolate. Cookies. Light spice. Medium body, soft carbonation.
