Bottle. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocoalte, dark fruits, yeast and milk chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, little acid, berries, milk chocolate, oak wood and a little dry.

Clear medium black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, cassis - black currant, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart fruit - berry, black currant, dark malt, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Shared at a DLD bottle share. Pours a dark brown black with minimal head. Aroma is slightly nutty. Not getting any black current in this one. Average at best.

750 ml bottle picked up from the brewery (Munster, IN). Shared with the IU Crew. Pours a rich deep blackish pour, dark and ominous, richly dark. Some gentle brownw glow on the edges. Frothy light brown head sits atop ok, sticks around well and laces ok. Aromas are touches of soap, florals, and oak. Gentle vanilla, warmth, touches of tannic blackberry and richer acetylhyde like green apple issues are pervasive. Some gentle seediness, cocoa and oak. Initial is medium bodied, a touch thinner with some oak, gentle roast and faint cocoa. Firmer blackberry cassis element is a bit seedy, tannic with gentle tartness and roast play. Some nice oak, gentle spirit and vanillin. Some nice blackberry skin really gives some life. Backend is dry, tannic and oaky. Decent whiskey barrel is flavorful but not hot. Green apple tartness, awkward. A bit flawed, something went wrong/is going wrong here.
