On Draft. Sampled a few times at various festivals and again at the brewpub. Pours a murky brown with a sparse tan head. Aroma of bourbon, mild caramel and ester notes. Somewhat fruity in the aroma. Brown sugar and booze notes. Flavor is quite sweet, perhaps the biggest point of balance is the booze and barrel wood. Sweet fruity notes as well. Medium finish that is mostly boozy and fruity. Quite nice.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN0. Pours a rich deep brownish hue, good murkiness, some touches of brownish red glow on the bottom and edges. Frothy beige head dies to a small film, laces small. Aromas are a melange of brown sugar, vanillam caramel, raisins, gentle warming spirit. Rum, coconut, biscuitrs, dark fruit, oak, more vanilla. Decadent ruch nose offers a touch of cocoa, raisinets, gentle mellow spice. Initial is medium boidied, not too thinned but it is noticeable, with a rich dark fruit element, plum and raisin, biscuits, caramel, gentle D=ubbel elements still offer flashes. Distcint dark fruit, plum rolling into some biscuits, toffee, vanilla and shaved toasted coconut. Middle is much less sweet than the nose let on, rolling into a hot and vanilla spirit laden backend. Touches of cherry, creamy vanilla, and the coconut sustain from the Woodford, firm warming spirit. A touch dry as the oak strikes. Quite an experience, perhaps a touch less girthy than expected, lingering barrel, heat, and some sticky sweet malts. Well done experience on a style and combination you wouldn’t expect to work all tha twell..
