2007 bottle (Yellow Wax). Pours a dull copper color, capped with a small khaki head that dissipates quickly. Beautiful aroma, with loads of hops, toffee, caramel, molasses, grapefruit and honey. Flavor is caramel for an instant, then resinous hops take over. Grapefruit, herbs, tobacco and honey round out the palate. Hops resins cling to the palate for a long finish. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Nice b-wine, but I wish it lived up to its aroma.

2008 bottle from TheEpeist, thanks! Sark amber color. Plums, raisin and earthy hops in the aroma. Strong alcoholic flavor with grapes, plums, oak and pineapple. Pipe tobacco. Firm beer, malty sweet and with a good complexity.

Bottled (thanks jjpm74!). Amber colour, medium beige head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol, some fruity hops and also mild burnt sugar. Flavour is hoppy, grassy, quite sticky. Toffee and some some alcohol. Mild nutyness as well.

Bottled (yellow wax = November 2006, Vasa session). Dark amber-brown color, small off-white head. Caramel, citrusy hops, bread and white pepper in the nose, also some fruity notes. Sweetish toffee, caramelly brew with bready and hoppy flavors, Alcohol rises in the finish. A bit liquerish palate. Heavy stuff. Not really very complex, but good sipping beer.

Bottle at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg. Amber/orange color, small offwhite head. Aroma from tropical fruits, peach, pear, pine apple, grapfruit, grass and hops. Malty, sugary notes, some caramel, grassy, spicy flavor, really hoppy, grapefruit, salty and some salmiak. Long pleasant bitter finish with grass and salt.

bottle through trade, purple wax. poured an amber in color with some orange highlights and a fluffy off white head that stuck around. aroma has caramel malt, bitterness, light citrus, and some sweet fruit. mouth feel coats well and there is light carbonation. flavor is very smooth for such a big beer. hefty caramel malt, pines, bitterness, and dark fruit. nice sweetness balances this well, and the high alcohol content is nowhere to be found.
