Bottle @ Odense Smagning, August 2009. 2008 Vintage. Pours dark amber orange with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is sweet and vinous. Lots of hops, malts, toffee, caramel, fruit and vanilla. Sticky, vinous, creamy, smooth and complex. Long warm and hoppy end. A big Barley Wine.

Amber with a lasting white head. Intense malt aroma with lots of peach and pine hops behind it. Intense and huge sweet malty flavour with lots of pine hops for a near balance. Too sweet and big to drink a lot, but a wonderful sip!

Clear copper small light tan head. Aroma is very sweeet caramel loads of citrus hops. Very nice but just missing my overly high expectations.

ྶoz 2007 yellow wax bomber) pours a nice dark amber, creamy bubbles resting on top and decent lacing. Nose is sweet sweet caramel, grassy hops, and reminds me of creme brulee (the dessert, not the beer). One of the best smelling beers I’ve smelled ever. Taste is almost as good as the nose. Grassy and piney hops are balanced extremely well with the sweet caramel notes and the creaminess rounds it all out. Left finishing deliciously with only a mild bitterness and the toasted caramel as well. I loved this and it is one of the best barleywines I have ever had. Worth the nearly $20 price.

Bottle@Oslo Øljunta Olympen Gathering. Low offwhite head. Dark amber colored, good clarity. Intense and delicious aroma of sweetish, crisp, grainy malts and floral/fruity hops. Big malt body; gently sweet, caramellish and grainy, and well rounded. A generous amount of fruity, resinous and floral hops to deal with it. Full-bodied. Thick mouthfeel. Strong malty, lasting bitter finish. Much of it all, yet balanced. A treat!

2009 bottle. Amber copper color pour. Sweet and malty aromas. Caramelized fruits and a nice amount of hop flaver as well. Brought back from Chicago and glad I did! Great beer.

Bottled. 3 Små Rum. Dark copper colour with diminishing head. Aroma from salmiak, chocolate and berries. Bitter flavour initially and loads going on here. Superb mouthfeel and flavour with red berry jelly, salty hops, chocolate, fruits, caramel. The salty hop bitterness is there all the way, but not disturbingly so. Salmiak suggestions after. Packed, integrated flavours.
