4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a reddish orange color with a small head. Nose is absolutely pleasant with hops, and sweet citrus. Taste is sweet and full of citrus, with a predominance of fresh apricots. Ends sweetly with a nice citrus ending. An amazing barley wine. Quaff Score 9 /10

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark rusty orange with a beige head and sweet fruity aroma of citrus and grapefruit. Taste is of bittersweet, of hops, citrus, grapefruit, caramel, and apricots with a burning, warming, long finish. Great barley wine with a lot of flavor.

Bottle from amazing trade with mwbrady12, drank with teary eye, amazing sweet, rich malt, lots of citrusy hops (especially for a barleywine - the hoppiest barleywine i’ve had) . My first Three Floyds, thank you again!!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours ruby red with minimal head. Had a lot of character on the nose. I got grapefruit, cherry, plumb, and grape. While sweetness is the story, there is a noticable hop bite. Real thin and light for a barleywine. This is a good beer, but way overpriced.

Hazy amber with off white head. Smells of sweet pink grapefruit and orange peel. Taste is similar. I like this one.

22oz. Bottle. Pours a beautiful red/amber with minimal white head and decent lacing. Aroma is a mix of grapefruit with cherry. Very sweet. There is something else I can’t describe, possibly sparkling grape. Taste is very sweet up front with a pungent, citrus note. There is a slight hoppy undertone that lingers. Overall a very good beer, but definitely doesn’t live up to the hype. Of course my barley wine knowledge is very limited.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a hazy copper with a large mousse like tan head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops. Hints of raisin and plum fruits. Also a slight hint of pear and grapes. Tastes of caramel malt, but very hop forward that gives citrus and pine hop flavors that linger long into the finish. Hop bitter finish, though there is an initial sweetness. Full bodied with a strong, though not overpowering alcohol warming. Medium carbonation. Delicious beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle, orange wax sealed for the 2012-2013 season, shared and sampled among 5 people. Big pine aroma, bitter hop scents jump out of the glass upon pouring it out. Appearance is a bright orange with sparkling carbonation and a good head of white foam on top. The appearance of the label art is eye catching too. Is that...’barrel seed’ splurging out from the label’s top right graphic? Taste is a fully blown palate sizzler comprised of pine, orange, grapefruit, cookies, and a touch of malted liquor sweetness. Palate is medium bodied, bubbly, and big enough to draw out the flavor dynamic. Overall, this one probably could have used some aging, although I’ve heard that Behemoth is best consumed soon after being brewed. While this is an excellent beer, I couldn’t help but think that the flavors just weren’t ripe enough yet, and without any aging it was greener, harsher, and boozier than it would be under better conditioning.

Aroma is piney hops and a big hint of malt sweetness. The flavor is grapefruit, dryish/sweet malts, underlying hints of fruit and a very warming alcoholic finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of great citrus hops: grapefruit and orange zest and slight grass. Very intense nose. Taste is great with pine hop, citrus, and a cane sugar underneath. Fantastic and hoppy.
