This is a great 3F beer with a strong IPA taste but with a stout like finish. It's very well done.

It poured an orange dark copper color with a small white head. The aroma was sweet , hoppy and full of caramel. The taste was a little bitter with a creamy citrus finish. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark golden pour with nice lacing head. Malty aroma with alchol as well. Medium body, a bit chewy. Sweet malts, with enough bitterness to make it balanced. Not a big fan of malty ipas, so was bracing myself, but this is nicely balanced and quite enkoyable.

Tap at mikkeller and friends. Clear dark amber red color, white head. Aroma is malts, oak, some hops, fruits. Hoppy body, fruity, medium co2, sweet notes. Like strong english ipa, not so strong hops, but nice body.

Thanks to Homer321 for the trade!
Pours hazy dark yellow with a generous sticky white head.
Fragrant aroma of big juicy malts n light spicy hops.
The sweet juicy malts comes onto the tongue first but are quickly swept away by the hop bitterness which in turn is swept away into a long dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy amber pour with an off-white head. Aromas of citrus peel and resinous hops. Nice malt character initially with biscuit notes that gives way to citrus peel and slight notes of oak. Very well balanced and complex. Easy to drink. Crisp and refreshing finish. Solid brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber poured into plastic cup. Hazy orange with a finger of white head that settles to a cap. Great lacing. Aroma is citrus (mostly orange), leafy hops, bread, and caramel maltiness. Taste starts with caramel sweetness then is cut by grassy/leafy hop bitterness before mellowing to a citrus hop bitter finish. Medium bodied, slick and creamy, moderate carbonation.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Appearance: dark orange to light brown pour, with a short, creamy tan head and a smattering of lace. Aroma: blast of flowery, citrus, resinous hops over a hint of honey, desperation, and wet wood. Taste: overbearing, astringent, aggressive bitterness carried on waves of pine, grapefruit, flowers, and pineapple, over green wood, sawdust, booze, and rage. Finish: lingering sour dryness, with a growing boozy burn in the back of my throat that matches the bile rising in my gorge. Notes: I love me some Three Floyds. LOVE. Never had a beer of theirs I didn’t care for. Until now. I flipping HATED this beer. It took me a few years to warm up to IPAs ("lookit the n00b everyone!"), and this swill just reinforced everything I used to despise about the "big IPA" style. Hops and bitterness for the sake of bitterness. Boozy burn for the sake of boozy burn. Ridiculous, unbalanced, unhappy mouth. F*CK THIS BEER. Of course, it’s perfect for those folks who love bitter bombs. If that’s your gig, you will love this beer. For me, it was just one 22 oz bottle of suck. I’ll take a Hopslam or Two Hearted over this any day. Absolute f*cking dreck.
