From a bomber. Wow aroma is toasted malt, caramel, rye, and light chocolate. Flavor is toasted malt, caramel, light rye spice, and also light chocolate. Wow usually usually not a fan of English Ipas but this one delivers. It’s not overly bitter or anything but it just has so much flavor. Three Floyd’s can do no wrong!

This is a great 3F beer with a strong IPA taste but with a stout like finish. It's very well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone so go have a DIPA!

Clear orange amber. Medium lasting creamy white head; lasting with good lace. Rich balanced aroma; caramel, orange and peachy hops, some booze. Medium body. Pleasant tingly grapefruit bitterness. Creamy and soft. Sweet and bitter. Juicy and delicious.

Rated on 5-25-2013 (Bottle) This beer has a small smooth off-white head with a long retention, fair amount of lacing, hazy body, very fizzy carbonation, and a golden hue. The Aroma is malty, caramel, sweet, and citrus fruit. The Taste is sweet, bitter, malty, some caramel, and citrus hops. The Palate is tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this beer is quaffable, has a lingering hoppy aftertaste, but is a bit too hoppy tasting for me since I am not a hophead. I recommend this beer if one likes hoppy tasting beer.

Tasted from a 22oz. bomber. It poured a hazy amber with a white head and solid lacing. Deep, complex flavors, with an enjoyably bitter finish.

Had it out of a miner, poured a hazy orange hue with a creamy head and uneven lacing. Slight hop aroma, smooth malt taste with a bitter kicker.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Re-Rate (last rating was from a year old bottle) Pours a very hazy golden, almost amber with a half finger of pure white head, that dissipates very quickly to a cap. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma is all hops. A perfect balance of citrus and pine hops. Grapefruit, orange, resin and a subtle malt character are present. Mouth is almost exactly the same. Very hoppy and bitter with a strong citrus presence, mainly grapefruit. The resinous quality is not nearly as strong on the tongue. This is a hop heads dream. The blackheart i reviewed several months ago was definitely old.

Aroma: resin, some grapefruit, floral hops, caramel malts, toast. Appearance: slightly hazy orange-ish pour, white head with good retention and decent lacing. Taste: sticky pine sap, citrus, fairly high bitterness, toasty malts with a nice touch of caramel sweetness. Bitterness is nicely balanced by the malt profile. Palate: medium body and carbonation. Overall: nice brew - hop forward with a nice malt backbone to support

Bomber (from backlog). Pours dark orange with a hint of ruby. Big nose of citrus and hops. Citrus/pith and resin. Finishes much drier than I am used to - in a good way.
