If you have this, drink it now, already going downhill due to infection Poured a darker cola brown with a beige head. Aroma was of.Bourbon, milk chocolate and light green apples. Flavor was similar, nice Bourbon stout upfront, but unfortunately a semi tart green apple finish. $30 SMD.

2014 Bottle. Pour is black with a finger-wide tan head. Aroma and flavor of sour green apples, oak, and booze. Infected for sure.

2014 bottle 37/1432. Aroma is tiberian inquisitor. Green apples. Taste is a sour tart stout. Yeah it’s definitely infected. But not awful. Tart side of the moon.

Dark pour with one finger of dark tan head. Roasty/vinous aroma, oak and wood with some charr. Lean in the mouth, dry and woody with some tannic oak and bourbon. Thins out a little.

Pours almost black with beautiful firm thick tan head. Roasty aroma. Taste roast, chocolate, sour cherries, vinous, dark fruit, very slight bourbon. Thick full palate. Finish sour oak. Big price for a beer that’s not that great. Better as it warmed.

750 ml bottle to snifter, shared with the Mrs. (2014 vintage; bottle 214/1432). Looks good; a slightly translucent very dark cola with foamy beige head. Smells malty with notes of oak and raisin. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel that’s a bit thinner than I’d prefer. Still, good beer.
