Wonderfully smooth and almost fluffy. Great nose of chocolate, bourbon, brown sugar and spices. Flavor is the same, almost more a milk chocolate flavor in there. Goes down great.

On tap at Pizza Port’s Barrel Blast. Pours with a black body with a ring that holds good lace on the side of the glass. Aromas of bourbon, wood, chocolate, nougat, fudge and raisins. Smells extremely rich. Flavors of lactose, milk chocolate, oak, and nougat. Light bubbles with a smooth and silky mouthfeel.

Co-rate! Tap Barrel Blast at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Overwhelming brandy aroma, but the taste is much more subtle brandied chocolate. Great start to the event.

Thick, black body. Halo of deep tan suds. Whiskeyish nose with some roasty elements along side it, but mostly concentrating on the whiskey, which is putting out some soil and earth and a touch of unsweetened chocolate...maybe even some dirty vanilla bourbon touches as well. Flavors bring forth some bright vanilla and chocolate notes with a fairly generous serving of sweetness carrying the flavors around the mouth. Some more of that earthiness as well alongside those boozy, whiskey flavors that seem to hover in the background. This is nicely refined and focused with all the individual elements combining quite naturally. Nicely dessertish, I would say.

On tap at the Three Floyds Brewpub. Aroma:Huge bourbon smell. Caramel. Appearance:Black and opaque. Little head. Taste:Lots of bourbon on the first sip. There’s chocolate here. In the midtaste, there’s a lot of sweetness with the bourbon slowly fading. The bourbon in this one is not overwhelming. Palate:Medium to thick body. Overall:This is a great twist on the regular moloko, a great sipper.
