3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at DLD 2013. Dark brown / black color. Minimal khaki head. Not really any lace. Big body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Very dry finish. A lot less sweet than standard Moloko. Good amountof bitter - more bitter than sweet, really. Call it bittersweet. A lot of that lacto milk sweet chocolate flavor, not as cloying, though. Good spicy barrel character. Bit heavy on the barrel. Definite improvement, but not really worth the $10. Still, glad to have tried it

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at GTMW as "Molok-old". Poured deep brown with a creamy dark brown head. The aroma picked up sweet chocolate and Port wine, with oak and smoke when you dig deeper.. decadent. The flavor found a lot of tart barrel and Port throughout, with sweet, blended chocolates (with a decent milky impression) at the core.. finished warm and satisfying. Heavy-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. good feel and flow.. this was mighty good!

Enjoyed at GTMW 2012. Poured a dark brown with a cream head. Very smooth and creamy on the tongue with a deep bourbon flavor. The whiskey flavor has a slow burn as it fades through the finish.

Pouring at GTMW 2012
Jet black pour, big brown head w/ thick lacing. Barel dominated aroma, vanilla, butter, hints of lactose. Well coated body thick mouth feel. Sweet chocolates and a tart almost bitter cherry skin finish w/ lots of vanilla. Decent, but not great.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 3/20
Kind of difficult to smell, maybe it’s the restaurant aromas interfering. I prefer regular Moloko actually. Tastes of vanilla, chocolate. Doesn’t have the barrel aged strength that I expected to find

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on draft at FoBAB 2011. Pours opaque oil black with a thick brown head that slowly recedes to uneven lace. The nose is creamy coconut and vanilla, with darkly roasted and milk chocolate malt. The flavor is sweet creamy coconut, vanilla, and milk chocolate up front, moving to the more darkly roasted, lightly bitter coffee. The body is full and creamy with average carbonation and a long oaky coconut and vanilla finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted this at FoBaB this past year. Pours very dark, the aroma was good. The taste was good... notes of cocoa, vanilla... not really what I was excepting in terms of barrell aged.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
FoBAB. Actually think I like the regular Moloko better, but this is a fine beer. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Solid aroma of chocolate. Great creamy, smooth flavor, lots of good chocolate and coffee flavor. Bourbon and vanilla.

On tap at Fobab 9. Pours really dark brown with tan head. Aromas cocoa, vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Flavors of cocoa, bourbon, and vanilla. Mouthfeel was a little thin and chalky. Decent but not what I was hoping for.
