Right off the bat, FFF comes through with another design win -- another awesome label. Great copper body with some fine rising carbonation. Nice big off-white slightly rocky head -- huge and lasting. Aroma is great with a good balance between a cereal/biscuity/caramel malt and piney and citrus hops. The flavor is pretty much the exact same except, while the malt holds more power in the aroma, the hops hold more power in the flavor. Bitting bitterness, but not at all overly biting. The flavor really starts to develop as it lingers - the hop bitterness gives way to the citrus and resinous hop flavors. Medium body with medium carbonation and smooth mouthfeel - almost like a sappy stickynoess with the combination of the sweet malt and the resinous piney hops. So balanced, so drinkable, No trace of alcohol. Overall: as far as I have experienced so far, FFF is incapable of making a less than superior beer. rudolf (1789), Buffalo, New York, USA

Slightly off my preference, but nice. Thanks tattorso for the trades with jwc215 and me. ilherps (238), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Pours a hazy light amber, with a medium white head. Upon pouring you can detect strong citrus notes or lemon and grapefruit. The flavor is very hop forward, with fresh bitterness, citrus, and pine. There still is a nice caramel structure to balance it out. This is a very nice harvest ale. Suttree (2752), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Trade from StFun - Thanks! The first thing you notice is the aroma - fresh and floral, with a few woodsy, piney notes mixed in. The flavor is unbalanced and overly bitter, which works in this brew. Very crisp, loral hops, with just a touch of caramel malt to back it up. Very enjoyable. GAManiac (1212), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 14, 2009 22oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
An aggressive pour produces a bright, slightly hazy amber brew with a pillowy off-white head that leaves a cap and decent lacing.
The aroma is dominated by bright green hops, resulting in lots of lemon and orange aromas with hints of other light fruits such as apricot and peaches. There is also some sweet caramel malts underneath.
The taste is very citrusy from start to finish with lots of lemons and some grapefruit. The malts seem a little more biscuity than the aroma and the finish is slightly bitter with a little less sweetness overall than the aroma.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with lots of carbonation and a slightly dry, bitter finish.
This is a very good harvest IPA and extremely drinkable. Another nice brew from Three Floyds. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
