4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 Beerowulf (63) - , Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2010
22 oz bottle. Aroma hits as soon as the cap was off. Pours a light orange with 2 finger head. Very nicely balanced brew. Reminded of Two Hearted Ale but a little smoother. Toffee and malt finish. Incredible brew from Three Floyds and one of the best beers I’ve had. Cannot recommend this enough. I am awaiting next October already!!!!

Outstanding. Exceeded all expectations and set a very high bar for wet hopped IPAs.
The aroma is truly incredible: ripe, pungent sweet orange sherbert and grapefruit - lemon zest - bitterness from pine, lemon rind and grapefruit oil. The taste was a great surprise because it was much more bitter than the assumption I had after the very sweet aroma - grapefruit peel, lemon zest, and pine. Cannot come up with any complaints on the look and feel - great pale off yellow creamy head.

Damn near perfect India Pale Ale. Nice subtle notes of nuts, toffee, orange, and pine aroma. Very well balanced with a lot of beautiful hop flavor. Nice carbonation, well hidden alcohol, and super interesting brew. I’d gift this to ANYONE.

Pours hazy light amber with 2 finger head and great retention. Aroma is SUPER fresh hop resin glands, fresh hop "cheesiness", citrus, a backbone of toasted malt. Taste is just how it smells; abundantly hopped and fresher than fresh. Body is medium, frothy, oily, finshes dry and resiny. Overall, this is the freshest and best fresh hop ale I’ve had. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!

Cloudy golden color. Nice fluffy head. Very hoppy nose with mild malt. Clean and refreshing. Slightly citrusy and caramel. Very hoppy and floral. Slightly resinous.

Totally awesome beer. I got in a bottle from Kahn’s fine wines in INdianapolis, IN. Smell is of amarillo hops. The pour is nice and thick. The taste is angled towards the hops with some nice crisp malt. One of their best. To me, this is easier to drink than alpha king as it doesn’t have the hop harshness from the chinook.

An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma wash of straight hops. Seemed like every kind possible. Citrus, pine, earthiness, spice. Flavor was pretty hoppy and very very bitter. I wish this was year round and i cant believe its only 5.5 %. The aggressive hops could easily make like place this at 8 or 9%.

22 oz. bottle from FFF in Munster. Pours golden orange with a foamy, almost white, head. Fresh pine aroma that fades to grapefruit. The taste is perfection; bitter grapefruit rind, fresh cut grass, and hints of pineapple and tangerine. Certainly bitter but also well balanced. Just about perfect in terms of an IPA.

Everything I could ask for in an IPA. Very hoppy yet balanced. Very crisp aroma of fresh hops, extremely pleasant. I couldn’t get my nose out of the glass.
I had been waiting to have this one and it didn’t disappoint. Simply amazing.
Wonderful fresh hop taste, a bit sweet with a nice bitterness to the finish.
This is one of the top IPAs out there. I wish I could get this in Tn. It was worth the drive to Indiana to pick this up. Simply wonderful.
