This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love. October release.

Intense hop aroma and flavor that almost tingled the nose and mouth. Not hop bitter but flavor and aroma hops kill! INtense citrus and light pine flavors dominate with a dry to semi sweet malt sweetness that is just right. On tap the beer has more to of the hop mouth zest but the but the bottle is almost equal in hop intesity. A bit a a metallic aftertaste that kept this one from scoring higher.

Bottle from Big Red Liquor, Indianapolis. Pours a clear orange body under a large white head that reduces with a high pillow of foam. The aroma is heavy with malty bread and caramel with traces of perfume and pine. Flavors are not as strong as the aroma, yet still display complexity. Notes of tangerine, orange popsicle, cream, vanilla, bubblegum, subtle caramel; all swirling around with a pleasant resinous hops presence that does not overpower the other flavors. Light/medium carbonation and medium body. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every offering I’ve tried so far from Three Floyds and this is no exception.

Pretty typical good fresh hop pale ale. Not as pungent as something like Alpha King but still solid.

Hazy yellow orange, with a half inch of dense white head. Aroma is full of tangerine and perfumey citrus. Taste is the same, but lighter than expected, with fainter floral notes, and tangerine peel. Thanks, Janet! (Werewolf DUI day)

Bottled September 23, 2015 enjoyed October 6, 2015 in a MadTree tulip/snifter. Look - Orange body. Any haze mellows with warmth. Nice head with fine bubbles. Nice lacing. Smell - Earth. Rye. Grass. Citrus. Pine. Sweet. Taste - Rye and grass. Pine. Bitter finish. Fruits like mango and tangerine. Feel - Chewy and heavier than expected. Head is explosive but not overly carbonated. Dries up. Little spice burn. Overall - So many times I say "I will try something different today" and end up pulling a new 3 Floyds and it always turns out to be an IPA. I was thinking Saison/Farmhouse but I’ll take this too. Good.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2015 Bomber from brewpub. Pours a gently hazed bright gold with an appreciable head. Apricot and peach-heavy nose, sparkling pine, abundance of ripe juice, banana, bubblegum, citrus zest. Flavor is nearly incomprehendably wide and balanced. Juice, zest, pine, vibrant flowers, tad of candy, mild finish, easy body. On draft is, well, blindingly amazing. Personally my favorite FFF offering. This brew is as sparkly and iridescent as its label. Do not pass up on this one.

Clean citrusy ipa. Piney resins at the end but not overwhelming. Fairly dense mouthfeel. Very fresh tastin with great appearance and aroma.
