Draft sample. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good. Moderate hop and dough malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with this brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combination of sweet grains, crisp lager yeast and grass/pine hops. Flavor has a crispness throughout with some sweet grains and grassy hops.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Grabbed after picking up a bottle from the recent "Spur of the Moment" release. Pours a richer hazed golden straw hue, good glow and gold, yellow colors jump with a big cakey white head atop. Stays fair sized, laces well overall. Aromas are straw, firm earthy and grassy hops with some nice florals, gentle spiciness comes in to the fold. Dry bready and grainy malts. Touch of lemon, more bread, fresh earthy hops and Pils malts. Initial is lighter bodied, for maximum imbibing. A a bit yeasty/spicy with grass and some floral earthy hops hitting the palate up front. Bready and cereal malt middle, Pils elements coming into the fold with a soft sweetness, dry grainy elements keep this quite dry and refreshing in the grand scheme of things. Straw, grass, kiss of toast, and more bready/grainy malts. Fresh and vibrant with a firm bitterness for the style and a slowly growing spice. Well done summer beer here.

Pint in dimpled mug at the brewpub. Almost clear golden straw. A small off white layer of foam. Droopy lacing. Soft noble hops dominate but do not over power. They are actually almost subtle. malts are even softer and are pale malts. A hintbof honey is noted. Hop bitterness is moderate and those hops are dry, lightly fruity, and have gentle sulfur. This brewpub seems to include attitude in their beets but this one has it in short supply. It is a well hopped Pils, though.

Tap at FFF. Pale yellow tan with a big white head. Fresh brewhouse aroma. Light to medium bodied, pretty straightforward beer-beer. Well done, sort of mellow soapy hop balance, light doughy malt tones. A damn fine Dotrmunder, maybe the best I’ve had..still just not a style to blow you away. Expert execution, perfect balance.

This poured a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma was bready and light grass. Flavor was pale malts, grainy, not much noble hop presence. Just fairly bland even for a dort.

draft, Pours clear straw yellow with dense white head. Aroma has nice floral notes with hint of lemon citrus. Really great vibrant hoppy nose, Flavors have a stiff floral and citrus with green notes, bready malt base that’s tight, good peppery bitterness throughout, really crisp pils bordering dortmunder style. Really bright citrusy and juicy finish. Pretty assertive bittering here which is a bit much for the style but if the bitterness was toned down a tad this would be a 4+ this is really good

On draft at 3 Floyds, oured a light yellow color, aromas of bread, light spice, and some hay. Flavors are the same, like a classic pils with some light spice thrown in. Decent beer overall.

Draft at the brewpub. Golden straw colored pour with a thick white head. Aroma of pils malt, mild spice, lots of bread with a nice hoppy twinge. Flavor is bready with a formidable citrus and earth hop presence. Bready, doughy, mild pepper in there as well. Nice, crisp. Lots of yeast and floral hop presence. I’m enjoying it. Refreshing body, finishes with a bitter hop note.

Draft at Three Floyds. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a fluffy white head that fades to a film. Nose is grainy with a spicy hop character and a faint plastic note. On tasting, high bitterness that is smooth and balanced by the pale malt profile. Biggest issue I have is that it doesn’t seem super clean. The yeast is a bit in the way, lending a hit of plastic. Good but not great.
