Bottle shared by Mike, thanks! Was dark outside while pouring so I don’t have much to say for its appearance, but the nose reminded me of BCS Bramble full of berries, oak, and bourbon. Taste was raspberry, blueberry, sweet malts, bourbon, a bit of oak, and a prominent sweet blackberry note (although I don’t think there is any blackberry in the beer). None of the taste seemed to come together though and overall it tasted very muddled. Carbonation was good with an even mouthfeel. Glad to try this, especially at $35 because I’m not sure that I would go out of my way to ever drink it again. I’d love to see more Templeton character and less muddledness in a future batch though.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Hazed mahogony brown with light beige spotting and edgework. Nose is berry fruit, sweet tones, sublte bourbon BA notes, oaky, dark toffee, raspberry tang. Taste comprises brown sugars, coconut shavings, big raspberry blast, sweet toffee, hint of bourbon. Medium + body with fine carbonation. Decent BA affair, probably the best beer I’ve had from this fantasy style.

Bottle, 75cl. Bottle 349/579. It pours an unclear, brown body and a dense, beige head. The aroma has a lightly sourish touch, with roasted notes, toffee and some earthy hints. Some sourness in the flavor too, still sweet, with roasted malts and some coffee hints. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Roasted finish with some sourish notes and dried fruits, some raspberry all the way, but just a touch. A quite nice one. 140301
