3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub. Poured into an imperial pint. Pouts a very yellow without much head or lacing. Sweet aroma. Some grass but not much. Mouthfeel is nice and light but not crisp. Taste is mild buttery sweetness with light grains and very mild lemon. Easily drinkable Kolsch but too sweet an not enough crispyness. Not very memorable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Big pale malt aroma. Lots of yeast and bread. Big mouth for a Kolsch. Huge bread notes in the taste. Very clean. An excellent summer beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft... Murky straw, but mostly clear, off white head, leaves a thin cap good lace... The aroma is really sweet but I find the bitterness in kolsch’s offputting so I appreciate this...the taste is pretty sweet as well but brings about a little better balance with some wet grains and a floral note... Good maybe even great for the style, a good bmc transition beer, but not something I’d have again

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Enjoyed on tap at 3 Floyds Brewpub after eating a whole mess of food with some good friends. Appearance a slightly cloudy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of german lager yeast and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is nice and refreshing, nice malt/hop balance, grassy, full bodied, really great stuff considering the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a Growler into a Three Floyd’s pinto glass. Appearance is light gold with a thick white head of foam that dissipates quickly. Aroma is slightly spicy and a bit grainy. Taste is estery with a nice biscuit presence. This example of a kolsch has a good bit more going on than I had expected.

Growler… Murky pear-colored ale with a small, scattered, white head. The citrusy, grainy bouquet offers lemon pith accompanied by a gentle, malty, butterscotch component. Medium-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. The citrusy, grainy flavor provides a modestly acidic lemon nuance. Finishes crisp and tangy with a soft kiss of butter. Growler courtesy of fear025!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear straw gold with little head that quickly fades away, ok retention. Aroma is lightly grassy, spicy, and cleanly bready. Taste is clean pilsener-like malt, grass, hint of nuts, touch of spicy hops. Body is light-medium, frothy, above average carbonation, dryish spicy finish. Overall, a great lighter bodied beer from 3F. Full flavored and crisp.
