A crisp and refreshing lighter summer offering, this Kolsch-style beer is golden in color, light bodied and a perfect remedy for hot weather.

Bomber to taster brought by me to the group tasting. Looks decent; a transparent light gold with white lacing. Smells semi-sweet and doughy. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not bad, but nothing special.

Has a very light wheat and fruity scent. Taste is a really light sweet flavor with some straw/wheat, good for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Thanks St Fun!
Pours a glassy corn yellow with a frothy white head and a nose of corn biscuit, light grass, hay, and a touch of lemon. Flavor is grassed biscuit with a corn glaze on top. Watery mouthfeel. Nice, light beer for warm weather.

This is definitely just what it claims to be - a light summer beer for drinking on hot afternoons after working all day in the yard. It lives up to my minimal expectations but ultimately like more kolsches is just a bit meh.

Aroma / Appearance - The golden carbonated base suffocates the head that collapses like snow hitting warm pavement. All that remains is a thin trace of cream. Lemons, grains, and light hops are held together well yet do not catch my interest for long.

Flavor / Palate - The light mouthfeel takes a while to get a handle on. When it finally occurs the experience is lemons, low key hops (for a FFF release), and mild bitterness on the back of the palate. It has a few strengths. Even so after the first pint I was not really excited about finishing up the bomber.

Bomber: Slightly hazed gold with a short, white head. Aroma is slightly swet, grainy, barley malt. Light fruit and hops. Taste is light malt, slight hop bitter. Not exactly kolsch-y....more like a very good lager... Great flavour....crisp and refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a clear, straw color with thin white head and decent lacing. Nose is ’Kolschy’ (basically like a Pilsner, about what you’d expect from the style, only a better nose than larger commercial equivalents). Mouth is basic, some noble hops and slight yeast spiciness. Seriously, I’d say this tastes like a better version of Budweiser if I didn’t have any other way to explain it. I’ve had this one before although I never bothered rating it. I do like it, but this is by far one of the least remarkable 3Fs beers out there, and like someone else has already said, it’s a bit overpriced for what it is (which is main bone of contention with Jinx Proof).

Pours golden. Head is white and rapidly fades. Nose is light blend of fruity esters, sweet pils like malts, floral and spicy hops. Flavor is crisp and fruity with slightly tart and crisp carbonation. Floral hops come through again. Light body, and easy drinking. Not bad at all but not worth 7.50. Dont waste your money.
