COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the seemingly endless cruelty, battle, and strife of the Hyborian age, a warrior has but two pleasures: Decimating one’s enemies in battle, and a horn of Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker to slake the thirst of victory.

Draft. A timid ipa, this one is vastly overrated. The bitterness is high in the finish otherwise it is non-nondescript.

Ernest (6514) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 12, 2015
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (apricot, kumquat, grapefruit), with notes of spoiled orange juice, cotton candy, canned fruit cocktail, celery, butter. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Pretty disappointing and nearly unpleasant. Fermenting/souring fruit odors and even some vegetal character ruin the hop and malt characters, so it’s really not much fun to smell. Similarly in the mouth, it’s quite sour and hard to enjoy. Like the Yum Yum pale ale, this is a rather pitiful showing from a brewery that shouldn’t be making mistakes like this.

jcr (2263) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Draft. Hazy golden body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit peel, citrus, toasted grain. Note of resin, raw grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Taste of grapefruit, pine. Hint of herbs and peppery alcohol. Thick mouthfeel.

Tap. Hazy, deep golden body with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma of graprfruit, orange zest, caramel and pine. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent DIPA.

Hazy orange with a medium sized off white head. Caramelized onion, grapefruit, light caramel, cheese. Full body, warming alcohol, sweetness overpowered by solid bitterness. Bitter finish with some herbal and cheesy hops.

Bottle. Murky burnt orange pour with a white head. Caramel malt aromas. Loads of caramel malts. Grapefruit hop lowlights. Average body and mouthfeel.

From bomber. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a two-finger dense off-white head. Aroma is full of fruit and citrus. Taste has huge amounts of citrus and mango and all kinds of beautiful tropical flavors. Nicely sweet. Hops up front. A huge beer and oh, so delicious.

22 oz. bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy golden/light amber color with a medium sized fluffy off white head. The aroma and flavor have tropical fruit, citrus, strong herbal and resiny notes, toasted bready malts, flavors blend pretty well, no alcohol, grapefruit, caramel, another solid Imperial/Double IPA from FFF and the labels are always worth a bump.

Bottle pour slightly hazy dark gold with orange hue. Nose as expected exploding with hops. Tropical fruit, mango, peach, resin, and overripe fruit. Taste sweet first then moderate strong bitter. A few more dank flavors in the mid palate. Some toffee malt late then lingering bitter finish. Nice progression of flavor.
