3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very bright and cloudy orange in color with a thinner white head. The aroma has a big kick of grapefruit to it, along with some heavy pineapple, apricot, and orange. The taste is mildly bitter and is more on the sweet side. There is strong grapefruit and pine up front, extending into caramel, apricot, pineapple, and a candy flavor that comes through most at the end. The aftertaste is a long lasting sweet candy and pineapple. This is medium bodied, has a full texture, and is about average in carbonation. This is a good beer, although the sweetness gets to you the more you drink it. I’d rate this a few points higher if it was less so.

A solidly average iipa. I of course wished for more. Sweet. Some hop aroma and taste but nothing distinct. Just a hodge podge. Ok

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop; hazy light copper pour with a big frothy beige head, hop aroma leaps out on the pour, tangerine, pineapple a bit of a medley, taste starts off with grapefruit, light caramel, hint of pine, hop fireworks on your tongue, this tastes fresher than the other beers I’ve had from MK shop tonight, has that vibrant hop action, some tangerine background spice, strong beer but so drinkable, definite malt backbone, grapefruit bitterness, still prefer the Kernel I salute you sir, keep buying those new world hops

Tap@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - pours a fuzzy orange colour with white head. Aroma and taste comprises citrus and tropical fruits, mandarin, grapefruit, medium sweet caramel malty, lots of piney and herbal hoppy notes going on, solid bitter finish. Very nice.

9 apr 2015, tap. Orange and hazy. Nose is glorious! Nothing but grapefruit! Med body and moderately fizzy. Sweet, alcohol, grapefruit juice, moderately bitter. Odd powdered candy flavor. Unique. Nose is glorious but taste isn't as amazing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Skuffende.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. A timid ipa, this one is vastly overrated. The bitterness is high in the finish otherwise it is non-nondescript.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (apricot, kumquat, grapefruit), with notes of spoiled orange juice, cotton candy, canned fruit cocktail, celery, butter.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Pretty disappointing and nearly unpleasant. Fermenting/souring fruit odors and even some vegetal character ruin the hop and malt characters, so it’s really not much fun to smell. Similarly in the mouth, it’s quite sour and hard to enjoy. Like the Yum Yum pale ale, this is a rather pitiful showing from a brewery that shouldn’t be making mistakes like this.
