2012 bottle 132/405. Picked up from the brewery last august or so. Thick black pour. Nose is chocolate and he fruit part of a jalapeño. Taste definitely haste base of the moloko milk stout with a lot of spice and a decent smoky of bourbon. This is almost a perfect mix of stout spice and bourbon.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
In short: A burning hot spicy black ale with bourbon and booze. Brutal.
How: Bottle shared at post HF FoFA 2013 party.
The look: Black body with almost not head.
In long: Nose is burning hot chili spices, bourbon and alcohol fumes. Scary smell. In mouth the beer has a medium, syrupy texture and medium carbonation. Taste is bourbon vanilla, brutal chili spices, soy sauce, alcohol heat. Too boozy for its size and add to that the palate burning spices and you’ve got yourself a brutally unpalatable beer. Not only am I not a fan of this new trend of hot spicy black Ales but this one was one of the most brutal one I’ve had. In hell all beers taste like this and to make matters worse in hell they have a hell ratebeer and people give this beer good ratings unlike here where… wait a minute!?!

huge thanks to Kan for opening this gem. The chili peppers are strong with this one that I really like, rich and thick, the bourbon and chili combo really rocks, helps mask the inferior base beer that is dark lord.

Bottle # 339/405. Trade from sean9689, thanks buddy. Black body with a quick disappearing brown head. Aroma is green pepper, chocolate, roasted malt, pepper notes. Flavour is green pepper, roasted malt, chocolate. The chili pepper thickles in the throat. A bit to much carbonation. Very interesting beer.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Sample shared at Central Waters anniversary party. Deep black with brown-tan head. Aroma is spicy chili pepper with ultra-smooth cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt, and soft bourbon. Flavor is a moderate spicy pepper kick that is balanced nicely with rich chocolate, roasted malt, faint bourbon and some lactose sweetness. Barrel characteristics are at just the right level to give complexity. Lightly dry oak finish with mild pepper spice and chocolate roast. Great mouthfeel from the lactose. No pepper acidity. An improvement on the base beer and a real treat.
