Bottle 43/392 courtesy of GT2, thanks! Dark maroon color, scant brown head. Aroma of very subtle brandy, vanilla, smooth milk chocolate, port wine. Taste is raisins, dates, vanilla, dessert liqueur. Very nice.

Black in color with nice viscosity. Minimal head formation and carbonation. Intense aroma of brandy and graham cracker sweetness. Lots of brown sugar, molasses, and chocolate, too. Maybe some marshmallow on the palate along with the graham cracker. A bit of a Símore thing going on. Quite a bit of brandy and booze as well as a bit of vanilla. Intensely sweet, but I like it.

cpetrone84 (1201) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2012
opaque black, thin bubbly brown head. The nose has a mix of sweet brandy, salted meat, chocolate, and a touch of Bo. The taste is overly sweet of brandy, loads of milk chocolate and vanilla, notes of heat with an off sweaty flavor in back. Full bodied, heavy and oily. The flavor is so sweet and struggles next to the rare.

Appearance: Pours dark brown with susdy brown ring of bubbles.

Aroma: Brandy, caramel, smoke, chocolate.

Taste: Coffee, chocolate, sugar, brandy, wood, black pepper. A boozy/coffee finish.

Mouthfeel: Thick but less thick than original Dark Lord, with and with less carbonation.

Overall: I like this, but I like the Brandy + Vanilla Bean variant better.

Its the same very sweet dark lord, same balck colour, with a grapey sweet wine dimension. Suddenly it takes on complexity and balance. One sip its black cherry, the next wine. Ever so drinakble. Smoother mouthfeel.

Courtesy of Dak. Pours deep dark amber with mocha like head. Amber colored body? The aroma is thick with roasted malts, chocolate, molasses and hot brandy into the end of the draw. The taste is smooth and thinner than expected but maybe makes sense as this has been in the barrel a while. The taste delivers molasses, dark roasted malts, chewy thick maltiness and then sweet smooth brandy along with a kiss of rich vanilla yum. This is an overly sweet yummy sipper. Iím digging this the more I sip.

Bottle by Dak @ Woodshed 1.0! Dark obsidian pour bordering onyx with a small latte head. Rich vanilla, dark oak, fudge, molasses, and brownie batter are prominent. The flavors meld together nicely. Quite sweet as expected but not overly cloying. Velvety texture and this one hides the alcohol quite well. Without doubt, the best DL Iíve had!
