From tap at Mielcke & Hurtigkarl, Three Floyds and Mikkeller dinner. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dense wooden toffee and caramelish. Smooth vanilla flavoured. Rather sweet impression and dense caramelish. Mild brandy touch and smooth vanilla into the finish. Lingering and sweet lasting finish.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small brownish head. Distinct vanilla aroma, a little wood. At first very sticky bordering cloying but if patient things blend nicely together. Quite rich-bodied, carbonation being a little low, what appears sticky in the nose now turns into the most delicious Belgian pralines and truffles with some warming alcohol in the finish - never boozy though. A small "bite" of heaven. Wauw, just wauw. 250511

Thanks oh6gdx and fonefan! Dark black, no head. Intense vanilla and bourbon aroma. Sweet, dense and soft. Tobacco and prunes with some oily soy sauce SA Triple Bock style. Very chocolaty with plenty of vanilla and fudge. Sensory overload.

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Opaque black beer, short lived tan head. Light semi dry palate. Amazingly not too boozy! Smells like dark chocolate ice cream. Taste follows the nose. Lovely vanilla dark chocolate malt with a brandy twist. It’s just amazingly light and drinkable. Softish finish with just a little warmth coming through. A real treat for a sweet tooth.
