Bottle shared by drailverworm and b3shine. Thanks! Pours a thick, syrupy dark brown with no head. Aroma has molasses, raisin, fig, and graham cracker. The beer is really sweet and reminds me a little of root beer.

Bottle, shared with local raters. Very dark brown color. Near-black. Good thin brown head. Loose bits of lace. Roasty, dark chocolate aroma. Some dark fruit. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Kind of chewy, but a dry finish. Liquid leaves some syrupy film on the glass, pretty cool. Some earthy hops noticeable. Good bigger bitter taste, much less cloying sweet than the base Dark Lord. Light to moderate sweet still, but it’s nice. Some vinous notes in the finish, light hint of vanilla. Impressively sippable for 15%, only a little warmth. Very tasty, big complex imperial stout. A bit sweet still, but it’s not a problem for me (like it was in the regular Dark Lord)

Bottle shared with a bunch of folks. Had Dark Lord bourbon barrel the same day and it just wasn't up to par. Still better than most beer out there. Got hints of the port flavor on the backend. Never drink too many good beers all in one day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Pours a sludgy jet black with a large tan head. Aroma of molasses, strong sweetness, lots of wine and port notes. Plums, raisins, oak, sweet dessert wine. Touches of cherry and sherry notes. Mild chocolate and dusty barrel notes. Pretty interesting. Flavor is sweet and boozy, with a semblance of bitter wine barrel notes, some tannins. I get some salt and liquid smoke notes as well. Full bodied, lingering finish that is salty and earthy. I wouldn’t want to drink a whole bottle of this. But, the glass I had was pretty interesting.
