What can I say about Dark Lord? Well it starts with my experience of it and that clouds my rating which Dark Lord received a perfect score. My first courting of the DL came at Dark Lord Day this past Saturday. I went with my buddy who got the tix (big thanks to to Big Mike). I had so much fun standing in line for 5 hours, who would of figured that. I got to share some of the best beers I the world with new friends that we met that day. I also got to taste 3 different vintages and types of Dark Lord. This stout is close to perfection. I hope to get tickets every year because it truly is an honor to be at DLD. The event is fitting for a stout this good. Completely black, wonderful nose, tastes of chocolate and balanced better than the suspension on a Ferrari. It takes a festival to honor the 'craft' of this beer. I refuse to say more about the beer as you must taste it...experience it for yourself. Three Floyd's is a world class brewery that has mastered the stout, the pale ale and the IPA, please don't grow FFF you are perfect now. I bow and submit in honor of this brewery and a perfect stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015 burgundy wax. Gift from a guy at work who’s wife got him 9 btls at brewery. Pours thick as any with fluffy, 1 inch, dark brown head. Aroma is roasted barley, soy sauce, alcohol esters. Flavor hits you with sweetness off the bat. A little rich and toasty flavors sneak through but sweetness dominates. As the sweetness fades, the caramel and molasses come through with a little chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Very big and very sweet. Hard to rate palatability high. A great novelty and must try.

May 8, 2015 - shared a bottle of 2011 Dark Lord. This ones been aging for four years. Pours a deep black, very thick, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, some vanilla, molasses. Taste is very sweet, not boozy at all. Creamy finish. More sweet than I expected...I can see why the barrel aged stuff is higher. But this is still a phenomenal beer. Glad to finally try one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with rich, dark malts: Chocolate, coffee, caramel, vanilla, bourbon barrel, licorice and molasses. Taste is sweet, very rich. Full body with a thick texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes long lasting sweet-roasted with rich, dark malts, vanilla and coffee. Subtle warmth from the booze. Excellent Stout, very American, very vulgar, very rich. Maybe even too much of a good thing?

Blue wax bottle from mikkeller shop. Pours a heavy black with tan head. Nose is loaded with fruit, coffee, bourbon. Very thick sweet syrupy mouthfeel. Taste is coffee, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and finishes very sweet. My only knock is it’s just a bit too sweet for me. Cracker beer and if you get the chance it’s a great beer to share with a mate or two (I chose not to share)

Wow! Tasted the 2015 bottle. Huge aroma of chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, coffee. Taste is moderate to heavily sweet with mild to moderate bitterness. Oily and syrupy mouthfeel. Very complex. Lots of dark fruits. Prunes, plums and other stone dark fruits with lots of coffee and chocolate. A little vanilla and caramel. Incredible beer. Probably my all time favorite imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
