(22oz bottle via trade). Pours a hazy cola color with a tan head. Aroma has chocolate, wood, florals, and spice. Taste is sweet with a little bitterness. Full bodied with a slick texture. Smooth finish. Really nice beer!

Nice dark color. It pours smoothly. You can taste the flavor and it holds. Thanks for bringing this one Dave.

Bomber acquired via trade and shared with a couple bros on the Brewvana bus. Deep, dark brown pour with a small tan head. Aroma is big on plums, raisins, brown sugar and a touch of booze. Alcohol is almost non-existent in the mouth, with a lot of datk fruit caramel and vanilla gliding smoothly across the tastebuds. I wasnt sure what to expect from this one but wound up being a big fan.

(22oz bomber thanks to Exiled) clear rich garnet color with just a few bubbles. Nose and taste are a bit sour, vanilla, caramel, raisins and chocolaty. Nice linger on the palate as well.

Shared while waiting in line at DLD ’11, thanks for the pour. It had a nice fruity aroma, pours rather dark and a nice texture to it that comes off really nice, the beer pours dark. Definitely would have liked to have some more of this one

Thanks Josh - this was a personal whale! The brew pours dark chocolate in color with a nice brown hue. The aroma has notes of sweetness and smokiness. It is not surprisingly similar to the Palo Santo in flavor being that they used the same palo santo wood from South America to brew it. The flavors bring out some sweetness unique to that barrel, but it is definitely a potent brew with a rich body as well.

Bottle thanks to Alex, into a Bells glass...First off, that is one cool as bottle, one of the best labels ever...Pours a light brown color, light tan head, nothing of note...The aroma is only the lighter side, roasty nuts and alcohol are about all I get. The taste is not good, maybe this was better fresh, but the 10% just shines through, a very harsh woody beer, lack of nuttiness that I want in a brown.

Bottle from 2009 Dark Lord day. The aroma is some licorice, raisin, malty. Pours a dark brown with a fully diminishing light brown head, no lacing. The flavor is bitter. The body is a little watery, didn’t hold up as well as I thought it would.

Courtesy of exiled. Clear ruby brown color/ tan head. Nutty, dark caramel, medium roast aromas. Roasted nuts, roasted malt, toasted caramel flavors with a mild spicy sweetness.
