A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

This is an amazing IPA. Pours a golden amber with a foamy white head that is two fingers. The head liners for some time. Awesome citrusy fruity aromas consisting of mango, lemon, finished with some resinous notes. Flavors of pine, citrus, and balanced with a caramel sweetness. Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation, and high level of bitterness. Insanely drinkable!

22 ounce bottle, stamp says bottled on 09/29/2014. Served in a snifter, the beer pours an orange/copper color with about an inch and a half frothy off-white head that stayed around a long time. There’s also a lot of lacing. The brew smells mostly like citrusy (lemon peel, grapefruit, orange) and pine hops, along with some grainy/bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some mango and caramel malt noticeable. It has a nice bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s coating with a good amount of carbonation. I think it’s a pretty good overall Imperial IPA, I liked it. $11.99 a bottle.

Bottle @ home. Pours haze golden with a big white head. Aroma is mango, peach and generally tropical fruits. Flavour is grapefruit, orange and some pine. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Finish is well-balanced and medium bitter with grapefruit and resin.

"compared to Hopslam? Not even close. Maybe this had some age on it. It tasted like it did, which tempered down the flavor and aromatic qualities of the hops, and left the bitterness and malty backbone, leaving it as a pretty good but way overrated strong ale. disappointed in this one a bit. 9/10-had a fresh one, which backed up the assumption of age on the first sample. very very tasty and aromatic hop bomb of a beer. Grapefruit rind and quite floral. not really any balance, but still super super nice. comparable to the excellent Maharaja. mid-hi 3 old, 4.5+ fresh. they need to date these!"

Wow, amazing double ipa. Murky orange pour with crazy lacing. Aroma is intense and wonderful...strong mango, pineapple, citrus, and a little pine. Taste is a fruit salad with a little bit of caramel. Sweet and bitter. Piney finish. Really amazingly drinkable for the abv. Amazing stuff.

650ml bottle. Pours a clear golden shade with plenty of white foam. Hops give off citrussy grapefruit notes in the aroma with pine following up. Taste is nicely balanced between sweet caramel malt and bitter hop flavours. Clean, classy and drinkable, but not enough to really grab my full attention.

19-SEP-2014, draft @Mikkeller & Friends. Very hazy, dark orange with lasting, lacing, off-white head. Aroma is perfumed hops. Caramel, over ripe fruit. Taste the same with some earth and fruit. Sweet, malty, hoppy, bitter. Not all up where I hoped it would be but still a very nice drink.

Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus, pine, and slight hint of berries. Flavor is a fruit explosion with a pine finish. Finishes slightly bitter but both malt and bitter even out at the end. Amazing! Best double IPA!

Bottle. Nice amber body with white head. I think the bottle is a little bit to old so there is missing a lot of the aroma. Otherwise a perfect beer wonderful balanced between hops and malts. You don’t notice the malts and the Ibus. Even its more than 3 months old a great one.

Bottle@home celebrating a new weekend. Amber haze. One finger foam. Dusty passionsfruit pine notes. Intens resinous piny taste. Sweet well hiding in a moderate bitterness. Very dry bitter finish. Heavy body. Probably the most expensive brew bought so far 225 Danish kroner. It's good but that good!!!
