Commercial Description:
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

Aroma of sweet pineapple, malt, light cheese. Amber orange color with off white head. Very well balanced initial flavors. Hoppy bitterness is evened out with a honey sweetness. Light saltiness. Alcohol in not present at all. Very creamy palate. Nice balance. Very good overall.

My third bottle of Dreadnaught, but the first with reliable provenance regarding freshness. Pours a nice clear copper-orange color wtih a sparse thin white head. The aroma was heavy, resinous, spicy, fruity, rich, and lightly alcoholic. Very piney. While the aroma was piney, the taste was more grapefruity and much hoppier than the aroma indicated. The jarring hop blast occurs throughout the bottle, not just on the initial taste. The finish lingers and tingles on the palate for a while. The thick syrupy palate and low carbonation allow for proper chewing of this trademark brew.

Lidt flad.

66 cl bottle. Amber color, medium off-white head. Very hoppy, fruity and sweet. Balanced beer that I liked a lot. (RBNAG’07 in Grimstad Nov. 3th.)

An Excellent IPA. Many flavors on the nose and palate, easy going down, accompanied with a nice grit. Powerful, but not obvious, left without any disappointments.

Fruit salad aroma. Peaches, grapefruit, and watermelon. Crispy hop bite with a lingering resiny finish.

Yum. This is one very well made IPA, awesome all around, from nose to finish. I wish they were still sending this to my area.

bomber thanks to Joe at the liquorette. what else can be said for this beer besides its awesome. this beer is ultra balanced and extremely tasty with a satisfying full bodied hop taste. high ABV completely masked by many drinkable qualities. kinda pricey since im in L.A. but a nice treat.
