Skeksi (7), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Sep 22, 2007 my favorite regular offering from my favorite brewery, topped only by their anniversary ale and of course, dark lord. Trip (2), USA does not count Sep 22, 2007 Pricey, but excellent. It did not have one characteristic that was overly dominating making it a maze of flavors. The bitterness was there, but quickly turned into citrus flavors. Very impressed. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 21, 2007 The best Double IPA I have had to date. Perfecto! I have had this beer on numerous occasions and its wonderful hop flavor and controlled bitterness has never let me down. UnsofistaCat (222), Garden City, Michigan, USA Sep 16, 2007 Updated: Jan 31, 2008One 22 got me drunk. It seemed to go from unbalanced, sweet, vodka then perfect. I need to try it again and give a better review. The memory of it draws me to want to drink more. rating going up. yjb (110), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Sep 9, 2007 When you were young you were harsh brash... kinda a real asshole. I mean I got it... All up in my face bitter dareisay, immature. You needed some time to grow up, six months did the trick. With the dignity of a a barely wine you matured. Got a little sweeter, less aggressive. You mellowed as you got sugar sweet became caramel.. . melting in my mouth. rowefam3 (70), kendallville, Indiana, USA Sep 8, 2007 Updated: Dec 1, 2007I might have had my expectations to high, but it was a tremendously enjoyable brew. Very fruity. Quite refreshing actually. It wasn’t the blow out that I expected.
--After thinking about this one for awhile it occured to me how superior this really is. My other favorite selections just didn’t stack up to this briallant gem. badlizard (2326), Berkeley, California, USA Sep 6, 2007 650 ml bottle from archer liquors. Hazy orange brown with a fizzy white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Sweet caramel and citrus taste with a lingering bitterness and crisp finish with a distinct orange flavor. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 3, 2007 Updated: Sep 5, 2009From a bomber, (thanks Matt! mreusch) pours amber with no head, nose of floral and piney hops. This is an outstanding brew. Flavor is a little pineapple, citrus and fruity hops, caramel, with a viscous mouthfeel that makes this such a smooth beer! This is my first 3Floyds, and I am longing for more. Great beer that lives up to the hype.
