COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hophead’s dream beer. This Imperial India Pale Ale has an opening salvo of mango, peach and citrus hop aromas that sit atop a pronounced caramel malt backbone. Although Dreadnaught is a strong and intensely hoppy ale, its complex flavors is both smooth and memorable. 9.5% ABV, 100 IBUs.

Great citrus aroma. Thick head and a hoppy tastes that's top notch. One of the best imperial IPA's I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is citrus, pine, malts, fruit and very fresh/clean hops. The flavor is citrus, tropical fruit/pineapple, biscuit/mildly sweet malts, grapefruit, mild pulp texture and a bitter/tangy/mildly dry finish.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2014 Amber/Copper color head is beautiful and thins out and sticks to the glass. Smells strongly of pine, resin and grapefruit. Taste of bitter hops, pine, citrus, orange, grapefruit. The alcohol is masked perfectly. Smooth lingering aftertaste that makes your mouth water for another sip. Medium body and sticky mouthfeel and average carbonation. This is my favorite Imperial IPA, would be my go to case of beer if it was readily available on the east coast. But always a pleasure to have when traveling. Don’t thin it can get much better then this.

220z/650ml bottle in a Snifter. Pours a clear copper/orange with a half finger, off-white head that thins to a film and ring that marks the glass nicely. Aroma is strong with notes of pine, resin, citrus, fruit, and hints of bread and alcohol. More aromatic as it warms. Taste is bitter with a warm, pine, slight citrus, bread aftertaste. Doesn’t taste like 9.5% Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Smooth in the mouth with a touch of resin on the texture. Just the right amount of bubbles to keep it moving. Very nice. Overall very nice. A big bitter but balanced well. Solid mouth feel and aroma. Alcohol is well blended in and not over-powering. I’m glad I have another bottle! Will buy again for sure next time I’m in Indy.

Thanks to tderoeck for sharing at RBBSGII! Golden amber - a pretty ale. Course cream colored head. Smell is of grapefruit, citrus, caramel and some pine. Taste - grapefruit and caramel to start with a tropical fruit aftertaste ending dry and crisp. Medium body, it does go down nicely!

Draught at the Three Floyds Brewpub, Munster, IN. Clear deep amber colour with an average sized foamy off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with fruits, pine and mild resin. Some balancing biscuity sweet maltiness. Balanced! Probably one of the most balanced IPA/DIPAs in the world. Strong hoppy flavour with bitterness and mild balancing malty sweetness. No alcohol flavour but warming feeling near my liver. Or kidney... It also might be something else... like my 30-day holiday... But anyway the alcohol is craftily hidden. Super balanced and tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a semi-hazy apricot color with a foamy white head that lingers. Definite hop and citrus aroma, fruity. Sharp taste, boozy. Surprisingly strong malt finish. Great beverage

22oz bottle Old Notes-Pours an orangish amber with a decent sized white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, and malt. Taste of hops and more hops. This full bodied brew is a kick ass double IPA. Well balanced and quite tasty.

Sweet aroma... Hops at the end. Tastes of strong hops yet sweet. Multiple flavors yet well balanced. Overall it's very enjoyable beer, if money wasn't an issue I would buy much more of it ;). Among my tops! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
