Hazy pale gold to amber pour with a 1 finger, creamy off white head. Aroma loaded with banana and sharp clove notes, sweet wheat, light floury grain, cereal, creamy lemon curd and light vanilla. Flavor is banana and Nilla wafers up front, some fruity lemony citrus, vanilla, a hint of bubblegum and more mellow, spicy clove notes than in the aroma. Heavy body, creamy to chewy feel on entry leading to a still chewy, but less creamy and slightly chalky in the finish. Really solid Hefe, hits all the right notes, just not perfectly.

A very solid hefeweizen beer, poured dark yellow, with very little head. The flavor was typical of a hefe with strong clove and slight bubble gum.

12 ounce draft in a tulip glass at Fountainhead in Chicago. Misty orange tint with a light and quick-to-melt layer of foam on top. Faint yeast and citrus aroma. Very refreshing taste. Orange, coriander, crackers, clove, banana bread, lemon, and mild throat tickling sweetness flavors. Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel. Overall one of the best hefes I've had in a while, managing to deliver traditional flavors in a lively and pleasant package, all without any slap in the face intensity. You could easily have a couple of these, and it's a nice send off to the beverages of warm weather months.

bomber from brew pub. meh. not a banana fan and this is heavy banana. Something that is not high on my list.

From bomber. Pours a cloudy amber with a finger of white head. Aroma is predominantly banana with noticeable clove. The taste flips those two... Seems like I just bit into a clove from a holiday ham That's not a bad thing. This beer has powerful flavors mixed together nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber picked up at 3 Floyds brewery. Hazy, dark orange in color. First aroma to hit me was banana, first flavor was the cloves (not overpowering). Overall good beer. This is definitely put down a couple if there being at 5.5% abv. Probably up there with Alpha King and Zombie Dust as my favorites from the 3 Floyds guys. Cheers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours very hazy dark gold. Aroma is banana, clove and Belgian yeast. Lots of spicy Belgian yeast flavor giving it a heavy dose of the normal banana and clove. little more citrus flavor, maybe from the hops that im not used to in this style. Very well done Hefe.

Bomber, cloudy light amber pour with a nice white head. Nose is banana and spice. Taste is nice with some sweet malt and banana and spice. Yummy beer!

Bottle. The pour is more amber than I was expecting. The aroma for sure has some banana. The taste carries the banana taste with it, also has some characteristics of a belgian to it. Easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
