The beer is dark orange with only a mild haziness. The head is surprisingly nonexistent for a hefeweizen. Even an aggressive pour yields very little cap. The aroma offers some bubble gum like sweetness. Banana, clove, sugary candies. The taste is a little better than the aroma, lacking the cloying sweetness I had feared. A bit of prickly carbonation, in spite of the nearly still and lifeless appearance. Overall, a pretty solid beer.

Bottle split with Chris. Pours a very murky dark gold with medium off-white head. Nose of wheat, banana, clove, light citrus. Medium body, assertive carbonation. Taste of banana, citrus wheat and spice. Decent.

0.65l bottle. Golden/reddish color, white and not very stable head. Aroma is a mixture of all possible aromatic profiles of a Weißbier, banana, clove and yeast. Taste is a bit more banana, somehow spicy. Medium body, medium carbonation, low bitterness.

Good hefeweisen. Strong banana flavors with a flowery finish. Really lacks a good aroma.

Bomber compliments of AndyReynolds - pours honey orange with offwhite head leaning on white. Banana wheat with pepper. Love the style and this is a good representation.

Bottle @ home, really big thanks to TheAlum for tracking down this Hefe-Whale for me! Pours a fairly hazy, a touch reddish, dark orange appearance with a lasting cream colored head. Aroma has some banana and citrus but really is overloaded with clove and nutmeg. The flavor is a bit more to my liking with more banana than the nose along with a light tartness, citrus, wheat bread, and spicy chewy yeast. A bit tangy, fruity aftertaste. There is a bit of chlorine / dishwater notes when it warms up but it’s not horrible. Flavor tastes fairly close to its Bavarian brethren. Pretty chill Hefeweizen. I’m not sure I would put this in the very top tier of American-made Bavarian Weissbier, but it is pretty good.

Heavy on the bananas as the music is on the mus-zac. Sorry, but for a hefe, this beer rocks! Bold as fuck! I dig it.

I hate hefeweizens but again, three Floyd makes every beer awesome. Fruity wheat and grassy taste. Good for the style

A typical hefferweizen. Wheaty and fruity and smells wheaty. Pours a cloudy yellow. Would get again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy pale gold to amber pour with a 1 finger, creamy off white head. Aroma loaded with banana and sharp clove notes, sweet wheat, light floury grain, cereal, creamy lemon curd and light vanilla. Flavor is banana and Nilla wafers up front, some fruity lemony citrus, vanilla, a hint of bubblegum and more mellow, spicy clove notes than in the aroma. Heavy body, creamy to chewy feel on entry leading to a still chewy, but less creamy and slightly chalky in the finish. Really solid Hefe, hits all the right notes, just not perfectly.
