On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of bananas and bubble-gum. The body is medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation.

I loved the appearance. But my drinking notes show I was over shocked by the banana flavor. If you love bananas try this beer

Tap. Very strong banana, bubblegum and clove aroma - great. Cloudy amber color with a moderate but quickly collapsing head - almost closer in color to a dunkelweizen. Sweet clove, bubblegum and banana with a mild hops finish that is very unusual for the style but still nice. Nice full mouthfeel - became slightly cloying as the beer warmed. A great Weizen and thankfully resurrected in time for my visit.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a very small sized head of finely sized white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a very hazy no visible carbonation dark yellow colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was of fruity banana malty spicy herbal and doughy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt banana and dough. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

On tap at 3F: sampled. Tall weizen glass shows the hazy wheat colored beer. Aroma: corriander, yeast, and bannanas. Hmm that smells like a lot of bannanas, lets have a sip. This is a banana milkshake of a beer. Except for that spice of corriander and clove this is all banana. Could have done without this one.

On tap at the 3F Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of stronger and dominating cloves, with citrus and light bananas. Tastes of bananas, cloves, and light bubblegum. Refreshing.

Well... I’m not going to nitpick the style. A Hefeweizen is a wheat beer that has a distinct essence of banana in its yeast profile and, while this one is a bit more filtered than most, it still delivers. Pours a light hazed, sandy/golden/amber with a head of white, whipped eggwhites. Clove is sharp and upstages banana, but the aromas are full and sharp and complemented by a welcome alcohol hit. Crisp mouth with esters drying the finish prematurely. A thick and wheaty middle flavor of banana recreates the classic Hefe persona and, if you belch, you get a pleasant whoompf of banana bread up your throat.

Draft. First the menu states that this is a Hefe- or a wheat, well which is it, grant hefe’s are made from wheat but they are usually separated. Second this is a clear beer which would make it a kristallweizen. The listed ABV was 5.5%. Served in a traditional glass, nice. No head, not so nice. Aroma of bananna and cloves, mild without any yeast. Taste was slightly bitter and aftertaste was dry. Not really refreshing or thirst quenching. Note: reading some reviews this does not sound like the same beer from the DL party but I had this later date and it ties in with sersdf’s review. Was not Gumbalhead either as I have tried that before.

On tap at DL06: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a nicely-lacing white head. Has a fresh, citrusy Belgian yeasty aroma. Nicely balanced semi-tart peachy and fruity authentic Belgian yeasty flavor has a touch of coriander spice. NIcely drinkable and smooth.

draft at brewery- not a lot of hefe character to this. definitely filtered (defeats the hefeweizen purpose)... brown urine color. not a lot of banana or citrus. some off tastes, though those went away a few sips later. pretty light bodied. wholly unimpressive.
