I love Hefe’s and FFF’s so I was excited to try this. It was no surprise that their take was a little different and had a lot of strength to it. The banana scent was a little lesser than some of the big Hefe’s, but the taste was stronger and more complex.

Intense esters, cloves, banana milk shake, creamy bread malts, caramel. Slightly hazy gold, tiny, off-white, frothy head. Light sweet. More banana milk shake, esters, cloves, caramel and bread malts, lively carbonation, medium bodied. Nice Hefeweizen, very true to the style, nice and intense esters throughout. Keg at brewery, Munster, IN.

Bananig hefiger Antrunk, mild herb, recht süß. Deutlich bananig bleibend, die Herbe sinkt noch leicht. Süffig und gut trinkbar, am Ende aber doch nichts Besonderes. 9/9/8/9/9/9

Bottle from some fantasy baseball winnings. Thanks, Derek! Pours hazy yellow golden with a fluffy white 2 finger head that dissipates quickly. Really nice aroma of banana esters, honey, yeasty hefe funk, pears, sweetness. Flavor is sweet banana esters, light honey sweetness, pears, yeasty yeasties, lingering sweetness. Light bodied with plus carbonation as expected from the style. This is really nicely done actually.

Clear golden pour with a massive head. Aroma of sweet bananas. Medium mouth with a heavy banana element. Taste is refreshing. No off flavors at all and very easy drinking. You could call this an extreme Hefeweizen as the flavors are quite pronounced.

An almost perfect Hefe. Cloudy with a nice head on the pour. Typical Hefe flavors in spades, very well balanced with enough sweetness to really make it shine. An absolute must for Hefelovers. Tap

Draft at Three Floyds Brewpub. Aromas of banana, cloves, vanilla and yeast. Taste is a banana explosion. So much banana. Cloves/herbal tones coming through. Not bad for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled@Beer Hunters, Pori. hazy orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, some mild syrupy notes as well as nice spices aand some banana. Flavour is the one of a quite good hefewizen, along with some sweetish malts, spices and some mild syrupy and raisiny notes. Actually surprisingly bodied for a 5.5 % beer.
