EddieG (162), Palos Heights, Illinois, USA Aug 12, 2005 Very light browinsh/red with a lingering very dense head. Slight haze. Aroma is bready with the typical lager twang in the nose. Very light and crisp with a slightly fruity taste that is complimented by a slightly bitter and spicy hop finish. Not a typical 3F’s hop explosion which is nice. The 7% abv is absolutely hidden until about 10 seconds after is goes down the gullet and you feel it. Refreshingly spicey.
railcat1 (491), Kissimmee, Florida, USA May 16, 2006 THIS BEER DID NOTHING FOR ME IT TASTED LIKE A REGULAR BEER NOT A TYPICAL 3FFF BEER .BUT IN THERE DEFENSE THEY HAVE A MARKET OUT THER AND HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING EVERY BODY CAN DRINK CHEERS YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Apr 12, 2006 Very disappointing. This amber brew with a frothy white head was lacking any character. Faint notes of malt, hops, and green apples that seemed watered down. The thin consistency supported the watered down notion. The flavor was vapid and inconsequential. Rare for 3F. MikeF (523), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Dec 31, 2005 tried this on tap at the brewery. Up front this brew was reasonable, however, It had an extremely disturbing finish - which to me tasted likely whatever cleaning solution they use to sanitize their equipment. It was disgusting, undrinkable. Not sure what happened.... the other brews I tried on tap were fine. I asked the brewer - who looked at me funny aparently did not take my comment seriously. ... wonder if anyone else has noticed this? RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA Dec 31, 2005 This beer produces an aroma of sour wheat with the a metallic presence lingering in the background. It is a dark cloudy gold solution a very slight white head. This beer is thin and spreads throughout the mouth distributing a medicine like taste. Fortunately, this beer fades from the palate rather quickly. thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 24, 2005 This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized mostly diminishing off-white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained very soft carbonation, was transparent and orange brown in color. Its aroma contained malty bock notes. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly with a lingering tingly aftertaste. Its flavor contained sweet malty bock notes. An above average brew.
